Shoes for narrow feet and hopefully half sizes

Glitteryfrog · 10/06/2015 21:02

It appears my feet have shrunk!
I've got from a six to a 5 and half and even narrower.
Everywhere seems to sell shoes for wide feet but not for narrow.
I need:
A new pair of black patent mid heels (for work) either courts or I can live with t bar /dolly shoes - the m&s £25 ones are too wide.
Tan loafers - I can step out of most of these, they don't grip my heels even if the size is right

Clark's selection of narrow is poor (I need a new pair of hamble oaks), duo are going to be my last resort as they're quite expensive.

Any other shoe makers who make shoes for narrow feet? I've googled but they seem to be old lady shoes :(

Bumping for you - as I need help too
I'm a 4 1/2 and need a narrow fitting
I would like some flattish sandals or sling back peep toes without sliding out of the front
Clarks Next M and S, Ecco Hotter etc are all far too wide for me

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 10/06/2015 21:41

I have very narrow 5.5 size
I cannot wear slip ons at all.

Sketchers (lace up)
M&S (some styles) and there are half sizes

I have bought FlyFlot in the past (some Italian shoes come up narrow)

woodhill · 10/06/2015 21:45

Medissa or special feetures. they are mail order and it is expensive. most shoes are D fitting in the high street, not easy

mintysmum · 10/06/2015 21:48

Have you tried Duo?
Their shoes are lovely and come in several widths, not sure about half sizes though.
I have only ordered from them once but used a few delivery & returns offer to order about 4 styles in two/three different sizes so 10 boxes arrived!
Their styles are good and the narrow fit actually feels snug and comfortable rather than the slipping out problem.
I am even tempted to arrange a day trip to Edinburgh where they have a shop, despite it being a 4 hour train journey away - that would be crazy wouldn't it?!

mintysmum · 10/06/2015 21:55

The web address for duo is duoboots.com

Glitteryfrog · 10/06/2015 21:56

I've got a pair of rieker boots which aren't too bad.
I've just had a thought...Carvela shoes used to be narrow? Are they still, or have they been taken over by Kurt Geiger and made wider?

Its like being a child again in the shoe shop and not being allowed the pretty shoes because they didn't come in narrow enough sizes

Blimey meddisas website is hard work, I'm sure I've looked before and given up

These M&S ones? They are high but the Insolia ones tend to be pretty comfortable.

I have v narrow feet and have a previous version of these which are brilliant. Mine are higher, so these would probably be even more comfortable.

These are a D

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 10/06/2015 21:58

Oh and the Clarks insoles are nice, and often mean that a shoe that is too wide without, is just right for me with.

UseHerName · 10/06/2015 22:00

I find converse very narrow

Also Italian brands

Loafline · 10/06/2015 23:10

Hoping to find some inspiration for dd, who has v narrow feet. She wears converse and dm boots but would love something pretty.

Glitteryfrog · 13/06/2015 16:48

Clark's - too wide
M&s - fit all wrong
Jones - nothing appealed

I give up... I'm going to throw money at the problem and buy some from Duo and maybe brogues from Barker.
I'll look after them and get them resoled/heeled etc.

No help for pretty shoes but I often buy my flat shoes in children's sections. They are great for flats and sandals. My brogues were a kids section purchase. Possibly from and independent show shop.

cirrusblue · 13/06/2015 17:11

Have you tried James Inglis? It's a specialist narrow fittings online/catalogue but I find they have the biggest selection of narrow shoes.

pinkfrocks · 13/06/2015 17:36

DUO if you can, go and try them on rather than mail order. I have narrow feet- a AA/B fitting and have awful problems with shoes.
Duo shoes are not especially narrow despite what they say- they never fit.

Dune are sometimes quite narrow in some styles as are Jones.

cathcustard · 13/06/2015 19:59

I've got long, narrow feet & Carvela fit well.
M&S & Boden definitely don't.

Bombinate · 13/06/2015 20:35

Camper are narrow shoes

Glitteryfrog · 13/06/2015 21:37

Anyone know if Russell and Bromley are narrow?
I've just found these www.russellandbromley.co.uk/park-ave/invt/235170 they're lovely

Glitteryfrog · 13/06/2015 21:38

Camper aren't quite formal enough for what I need at the moment. But I'll keep them in mind :)
