I've tried the Salt on the Earth one which is fine on normal days but I need something stronger for warmer/hormonal Blush days.

Can anyone recommend one that is very good for sweaty chicks? BlushBlushBlushBlushBlush

Forever Living ad?

Hit post too soon. If not a plug for FL, OP don't fall for it!

Ok, this may sound weird, but try hand sanitizer gel. It works brilliantly for me! Same principle as the Weleda stuff (which I also have), mostly alcohol to kill the smelly bacteria. Smile

griselda101 · 06/06/2015 22:14

surely the hand sanitizer gel contains nasties you wouldn't necessarily want to get into your system in the same way people want to avoid aluminium-based deodorants, OMG?

it's quite harsh isn't it in terms of anti-bac chemicals etc? I've heard those sanitisers aren't great (nor recommended by many health conscious people) for your health in general (e.g. triclosan) and I can imagine even more getting absorbed via your pits?

OMGmetoo · 06/06/2015 22:33

I figure HCPs use them all day long. Anyways, before I figured out the alcohol thing I couldn't use anything - if my pores get clogged (even by the natural stuff), I get horrible swollen painful blocked pores.

Everyone saying crystal deodorants, alum etc they ALL contain aluminium. The OP asked for non-aluminium. Alum is an aluminium salt, it is just a different one to the kinds you get in sprays or conventional roll-ons. If you don't want aluminium you can't have an antiperspirant, it has to be a deodorant only. Some people are sensitive to the aluminium salts and it irritates them, in which case you might be better with an alcoholic deodorant. if you're going to use alum you may as well use a conventional antiperspirant, since at least they work to reduce sweat. Cancer charities state there is no evidence behind the deodorant / breast cancer story btw.

The natural crystal rock is not the same as man made aluminum salts. People dint tend to react to them.

specialsubject · 07/06/2015 11:04

aluminium salts are found in nature.

HCPs do use hand santizers all day long - and a lot have ezcema on their hands as a result (OK the endless handwashing doesn't help either). I can't wait to get home and get the revolting stuff off my hands.

Kaspar19 · 07/06/2015 16:54

Doesn't help you, but when I go to the states I always stock up on the La Vanilla deodorants as I find them to be good. Shame you can't get them over here though
