Can I get away with purple hair and a red and white dress?

My hair is very short (pixie cut) and currently purple. Will it look awful with this dress?

I really don't want to have to re-dye it.

Please just tell me it will look ok. That's all I want to hear :o

I tried Schwartzkopf 'Purple Passion' on my red/orange (dyed) hair, but it just made it more red.
I want pillarbox red, but I can't find a bleach kit at home that a) I feel safe with or b) that'll lighten my hair enough.
