Why does my make up do this? With photo

Can any help me? My make up constantly just settles and flakes into my pores. Doesn't matter if I use high end foundation or cheaper stuff. Primer makes no difference.

Can anyone help?

Oh and my Tzone is flaky and oily - or it was but E45 sorted it out and it's completely balanced now.

I love CH but she chops and changes her recommendations far too often and if you have rosacea you really have to be careful with all the toners etc she recommends.

I used to have skin that looked like yours. Best thing I did was ditch everything and simply oil cleanse with olive oil from my kitchen. No moisturiser, no serum, no toner, nothing. My skin has calmed down, no spots, blackheads have gone, pores have shrunk to nothing, dry patches evened out and oily patches no longer an oil slick. Also, I'm repeatedly told how young I look. I'm 35 today and am told I look 25.

And don't exfoliate with rosacea, a simple muslin cloth or I prefer a soft flannel is all you need. Exfoliating is far too harsh.

mothersadaughter I totally empathise. It is so bloody frustrating isn't it? I have problem skin and have had it all my life. It looks like I have developed rosacea too now and on top of that whilst remaining oily on the t-zone it is also massively dehydrated. I have had many oral and topical antibiotics from the GP and more lotions and potions than I care to think about. none of them have really made a difference. I spent a small fortune on Thursday on La Roche Posay rosacea stuff and am hopeful they will help. My make-up clumps and slides off too. Makes me very sad and depressed and I never feel good about myself.

Go easy with LRP I had a huge flare up with it.

Indecisivejo · 30/05/2015 15:33

I can't use la Roche posay either

Pippidoeswhatshewants · 30/05/2015 16:08

I would second laying off all the lotions and potions and taking a very, very gentle approach.
Have you ever tried moogoo?

I had terrible cystic acne for 2 years which improved with antibiotics but I wanted to be off them! I've also got pigmentation and dry patches too! Attractive!Grin
I've tried to improve my diet-less sugar, less grains and lots of water.
I totally overhauled my skincare routine. I'm using cetaphil cleanser and moisturiser, an acid toner and spf 50 on my face. Also started retin a again. It's been 6 weeks and after an initial worsening of my skin it's all calmed down and is looking pretty good. Try sam buntings recommendations. She's a bit gentler with routines for us blemish prone types!
