help!! i have a party on Friday and no outfit

Well, i have half an outfit consisting of a pair of black trousers.

Im very large chested, size 16 bottom and 18/20 top.

I was thinking of maybe one of those long dress type tops over a pair of black trousers but i feel a bit nervous about that.

I usually hide behind a long black cardigan but this party is so important, its our wedding anniversary but we,ve had such an awful year with the kids and what DH has been through that we felt like celebrating and i want to look good.

Ive left it till the last minute as usual as i hate going clothes shopping and have until Friday.

Can anyone give me some tips/advice.

A dress over trews would look lovely, or even over jeans.

Where are you going and what is the budget?

Well i was thinking of M&S or somewhere similar and idont really want to spend more than £50.00

Just dont feel confident about dress over trousers, not sure why though cos i think it looks really nice when i see other people wearing them!!

As your top half is bigger than your bottom half, be careful with a dress as it may hang from your top half, making you look bigger than you are

I would go for a more fitted top with the trousers

i wear dresses over trousers all the time, hides my tum beautifully when i had a better figure i used to wear nighties over jeans with a jacket too.. with a £50 budget you should be able to find something. whats your fave colour? il see if i can find something more suited to your style if you are nervous about dress over trews? what sort of things do you like?
my own personal rule is if you dont feel comfortable in it, dont wear it, or you will just be too busy being self conscious to enjoy yourself

I really like the black evans top.

My favourite colour is black although im liking the emerald green thats around nowadays.

I was even thinking of black glittery jeans with a long tunic top as i dont want to dress up too much as its only in a working mens club the party!!!

Havent worn jeans for years though as they tend to cut into my stomach...

I think the black evans top would go with black trousers or jeans - if your jeans cut into your tum, you need a bigger size or a different cut.

thing is when ive gone a bigger size with jeans they hang off my backside and are too long so hence the not wearing them any more!!!!

Would i look alright with a bolero with the evans top?

Im thinking black tunic top with trousers and perhaps a glittery/sparkly bolero jacket to hide my arms.
