Do any of you know of or use a dark under eye cover up that works??

I feel I have tried so many things and it either, doesn't cover up the dark circles, creases and looks horrible, or looks really dotty and strange. Do any of you have or use something that still covers up bags after a couple of hours or is that impossible?

I'd almost given up, till I discovered yellow concealer for dark circles. Try Max Factor Colour Correcting Crayon in yellow, or Mac Prep & Prime Highlighter in shade 'light boost'. The Mac product is a touché éclat style pen, but it's much better than touché éclat!

I have terrible circles at the moment.
I can only get good results when I first use a concealer (at the moment I am using Clarins) and then a high lighting pen afterwards. I use the concealer where it is really dark (dont forget the inner corner), then the highlighter pen in a reversed triangle shape (google Trish Mcevoy). It does help abit I find

I also find that I look a lot less tired and brighter if I use something on my eye lid as I have quite dark eyelids too. Putting on something neutral over the lid instantly brightens the eye, as long as it is not too shimmery. I use my clarins concealer and it works a treat. It just lifts and brightens the eye.

If you are anywhere near London, the lovely girls at Trish Mcevoy showed me this and it has really helped me. They also taught me tightlining which I have raved on about here endless times.

I discovered Benefit Boing recently and absolutely love it! Had it recommended to me after commenting on how lucky a friend was to not have dark circles and she told me about boing :-)

I use Clinique all about eyes concealer applied with a brush and blended with ring finger. It's great coverage and a tiny dot goes a long way. I put a very light dusting of translucent loose powder (Nars) on top to set. I also use Mac paintpot in painterly as an eyelid primer - it is skin colour, covers the purplish tone on my lids and stops eye shadow from creasing.

I recommend:

1. Keeping your eye cream (any eye cream) in the fridge so that it's nice and cool when you apply it. Even if it makes no actual difference, it feels really nice on tired eyes.
2. Clarins Beauty Flash Balm. I've been taking this quite high under my eyes and it helps a lot - I've had no issues with sensitivity, and I wear contact lenses and have quite easily upset skin.
3. Clarins Instant Light concealer - best I've ever used, a tiny amount goes a long way. Remember to put a dot in the inner corner of your eye, kind of above the bridge of your nose.

Bobbi brown concealer is meant to be very good and of course good old YSL touché éclat

Seventeen Phwoar Paint is outstandingly good.

Whereas I will never get the fuss about Touche Éclat.

I love Clinique all about eyes. Very good coverage and lasts all day. Expensive but lasts for ages. Doesn't get into lines either. Couldn't do without it!!

I use The Collection (used to be Collection 2000) Lasting Perfection concealer, I have awful dark circles and am very pale and nothing comes close to this. It's only about £3!

I recently bought the Mac Conceal and Correct pen- it's a double ended tube with a yellow based liquid that you put on the dark circles to neutralise them. you then use the concealer on the other side of the pen. I really like it, and it doesn't sit in the lines under my eyes
a budget alternative that I also really rate is the Maybelline under eye concealer. I didn't get in with the 17 phwoar paint, it's really chalky and sits in my wrinkles-not a good look!

Yes I wasn't very impressed with the touché eclair either, I found it very white. When I think I need something to neutralise the blue/purple tones. And yes lisam78 anything chalky just sits in the creases, if you smile you are screwed!

Off to research tightlining......

Touche éclat is a highlighter not a concealer, so isn't designed to conceal dark circles.

Chantecaille it's worth it! My circles get darker when I'm tired. I have a baby and I'll not been seen without it

Bobby brown corrector and concealer inverted triangle and you put it on once foundation is done and blend you also need a proper concealer brush that probably made the biggest difference if I'm honest, benefit also do a good one if you don't want to spend a huge amount

The Clarins instant light is phenomenal. I've tried everything over the years - Bobbi Brown cream and powder with colour corrector underneath, Laura Mercier secret camouflage, Mac, YSL, and all manner of other things and the Clarins works, stays put all day and lasts forever. I may have got lucky with the colour match, but it really is one of my favourite ever makeup products.

i use a soap and glory 'kick ass blur & brighten' crayon. seems to work well for me as it stays put and doesn't start to look obvious as the day goes on.

Well I have been inlove with tightlining ever since researching it! The wonders of mumsnet!

It seems Clarins/Clinique/bobbi brown are getting the most votes, I don't have a bobbi Brown makeup counter anywhere near me so may have to go and try the Clinique and clarines ones suggested.

I second the Max Factor yellow colour correcting crayon- neutralises rather than covers the dark circles- it's fantastic!

I had the same problem, mine were purply red circles, and Models Prefer green corrector works well for me. I put that on, then a tiny bit of MAC moisture over, then my foundation.
