I'm a curvy 35 year old and I have no idea where to shop for clothes...

I went clothes shopping yesterday, which is long overdue. I haven't updated my wardrobe for about 3 years so need lots of stuff. Thing is, I have no idea where to shop!

I used to like FatFace, but haven't seen anything in there that I really like for a while. Plus I feel frumpy in their clothes, as they don't suit my curvy size 12 frame.

I love the boho, slightly hippy look but with a sharper edge - I don't need to be smart for work, but I do like to look well put together but with a bit of individuality.

So, where do you shop for clothes? Do you have any favourites? I'd like to avoid walking around House of Fraser like a lost child during my next shopping trip!

Monsoon might be worth a look
All saints for edginess?

Like the look of all saints. Bit out of my price range though!

I like White Stuff, John Lewis, Jigsaw,

I also get a lot of basics from M&S, especially jeans.

You also might like the Mantaray section at Debenhams.

Boden and Bravissimo may often have something you'll like. Ordering online saves traipsing around the shops too.

And yes I do prefer ordering online - but I find my eyes are drawn to things that don't really suit my shape so I end up sending it back and wasting the postage money.

I thought if I took the time to look around I'd find things I liked, but huge stores baffle me! I'm not great at putting outfits together.

I'm a similar age and the same size as you. Shops like mantaray, white stuff and fat face look awful and frumpy on me.

I love Zara, Massimo Dutti, mango, banana republic. I get the odd bit from monsoon and marks and spencer, jack wills and abercrombie and fitch. If I'm feeling flush I LOVE anthropologie! The clothes are very boho and nice quality, but a little overpriced.

Lambzig · 24/05/2015 15:21

I like a bit of hippy boho too and have bought a lot from Mango this year.

Thanks all. Brilliant suggestions. This rubbish shopper and overly frumpy ex-fat face dresser thanks you!

I'd really like to rock my curves and age, rather than feel hindered by them as I'm never going to be as young and gorgeous as I am right now Grin
