No I'm not Lorraine !!?

Price depends on how many beads are in it (as in this cost more & are more fiddly to make). They actually stay tied quite securely as the beads sort of hold the know in place if you see what I mean.
Obv the longer the necklace, the more you can wrap it round (actually if I made a long one, I suppose it would double as a belt, or a shorter one could be a bracelet - not sure how secure it would be as a bracelet though...?)

Whizz - I make jewellery too (not trying to hijack any trade though ) I find it really hard to take good photos of things I have made. I've tried using a lightbox and some of those came out well as the light shines through the beads, just thought I'd let you know(after Cod's comments about necklace being much nicer in RL).

Thanks for the tip danceswm. I usually photo things outside, but its getting harder now when it goes dark so quickly !

danceswithmonkeys · 10/11/2006 17:32

Ah I've tried that too! You can get good photos outside but trying to keep the children and the cat out of the photos was my problem (pesky other life as a mum interfering with hobby....)

Whizzz · 10/11/2006 17:53

Have mailed you back Dior

TheHighwayCod · 10/11/2006 18:33

ggirl -I sort of taught myself actually ! I started by buying myself a bracelet & then looking at it & realising that I could make something similar.

Ok dim question... how do you do it up?

Just tie at your throat? CHoker style with bits dangling?

Whizzz · 11/11/2006 09:34

Gillian76 - yes you just tie a simple loose knot. You can either tie close round your neck (good if you have a lower cut neckline) OR tie further down.
I'm planning on making some on thin flat brown suede type stuff - I fancy one with autumny brown beads

FillyjonkTheFireEater · 11/11/2006 09:56

oooh I love these!

Whizz, if I decide that dp ought to treat me, is it ok to use the email you posted further down?

Whizzz · 11/11/2006 17:35

Yes no probs Fillyjonk (or anyone else!)

As a very rough guide, a necklace like Cods would be around £10. But it does depend on what you want (beads used + time to make)

(I could do matching earrings too )

Whizzz · 14/11/2006 16:11

Here's a blue one I've made blue lariat

oooo I can't stop making thme now

Whizzz · 19/11/2006 13:39
