The very softest, stretchiest t shirts..the kind you put on with an exhale of comfort..

Where can I get them?! Do you know the kind I mean... The ones that become old friends, and are warm?

I have a gorgeous Old Navy one which is my go to top to wear in the house with flannel baggies, but it's now quite derelict.

Any tips? I'm looking for t shirts that are the clothing equivalent of a hot chocolate and a digestive.

I have a striped fat face one from last year which is like that, plus a couple from gap. They're a rare thing though and my others, even from the same brand, aren't as nice to wear. Confused

Modal from Matalan are soft and stretchy.
Like a hot chocolate and squidgey marshmallow Grin

Muji - theirs are great Smile

LilQueenie · 18/05/2015 21:10

My juicy couture ones. comfy and the best fit I have ever found.

TheHappinessTrap · 18/05/2015 22:00

In my experience these are almost never found while looking specifically for them. For me, these are accident purchases, or things bought for another purpose but that don't serve their intended purpose. These are the things that make the best ever home wear. Currently I'm using tee shirts bought in a rushed last minute plan to go to a beach in california a few years back. I needed something NOW and QUICK, long sleeved, thigh length, cheap. I rummaged a sale rack in the men's section of a gap. I bought three and they are the softest, cosiest, second skin tees I've ever owned, and they have the power to transport me.

ChippyMinton · 18/05/2015 23:04

Organic cotton from the boys section of H&M.

Walnutpie · 19/05/2015 09:17

I agree theHappiness.. Perhaps they find us, rather than we find them.. But now I'm in Need and must go hunting!

It's true, sometimes GAP come up with the goods. And I never go in there..so will remedy that. I also never check out Muji, and can do that. The H &M tip is definitely not something I'd ever have thought of! Thankyou all.

I can't do Matalan, have never even seen this mythical shop.

They're not particularly stylish but the Seasalt reversible t shirts are very strokey.

Matalan is available online

Stepawayfromthezebras · 19/05/2015 12:28

If you're going GAP you need the Supersoft range - though they seem to be mostly maternity tops at the moment

WankerDeAsalWipe · 19/05/2015 12:38

My boys have the organic cotton t's from H&M that they wear to bed and they are good.

however the best t-shirts we have ever had are Egyptian cotton ones that DH has to get sent from the US - he is allergic to tons of stuff and he isn't to these. They are expensive (especially the postage) but ones he bought nearly 10 years ago and wears and washes every week, still look like new.

I haven't tried the womans ones as I'm not really a t-shirt kinda gal :)

Blamenargles · 19/05/2015 12:43

I get mine from H&M in the men's section
Hate women's t-shirts to short and always tight fitting

carrie74 · 19/05/2015 12:51

Gap Supersoft (or sometimes called Bowery soft) are my staples. 30% off Gap with this week's Grazia.

Lunaballoon · 19/05/2015 13:03

I'm a big fan of Uniqlo's Heattech range. I must have at least 10 different colour variations and their extra warm winter versions are sooo soft and cosy.

Ionone · 19/05/2015 17:22

Petit Bateau T shirts are gorgeously soft.

AuntyMary · 01/06/2015 21:10

OMG, I love Primark ones. For £2.50 you can have every colour and shade under the rainbow (and more) and they seem to wash and keep very well year on year. Long sleeves, short sleeves, no sleeves. I love them!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 01/06/2015 21:13

Why is it that men's are generally softer? Dp wears these a lot, and they are beautifully soft, keep their shape and wash up like new every time. I have never, ever found a women's t-shirt even a quarter as good as these.

SunshineAndShadows · 01/06/2015 21:16

I second uniqlo Smile

AmelieinOz · 01/06/2015 21:59

I was just going to post UNIQLO!

I live in their Heattech range this Winter.

I have not tried the Extra Warm though - are they really significantly warmer than the regular? I have bought a lot of the regular ones before they brought those in.

ChopOrNot · 02/06/2015 10:34

Have you tried bamboo ones - my DH has these in abundance and they feel amazing. You have made me consider ordering one or two myself.
