What veil or other headwear would suit this wedding dress?

I'm crap at styling! What veil would you put with this dress? It's a beautiful Ivory colour - like full-fat creamy Jersey milk. Church wedding, but would prefer something more elegant than flowery or flouncy.

On a budget and no time to stroll round shops, so a link to buy online would be amazing. Thanks VERY much in advance! Xx

That is a lovely dress - can I ask where you got it from? Its just what I'm looking for :)

As for a veil are you planning on wearing your hair up or down and do you want it covering your face as you go into church?

Feathers? Like this: www.etsy.com/uk/listing/201164993/bridal-feather-fascinator-bridal#

I think a fascinator rather than a veil would look stunning.

Beautiful dress BTW Smile

Dowser · 18/05/2015 15:43

Love those headpieces...but the price!

I tried one on. It was lovely but only did it in gold not silver.

Love your dress and you look lovely and slim in it ;-)

Beautiful dress, fabulous figure! No help re question, just congratulations :)

CMOTDibbler · 18/05/2015 15:47

I'd go for a birdcage veil - loads on ebay. Or completely rock it out with a single layer, narrow (so not flouncy) really long veil so it trails behind you down the aisle. I think its the one time you get to wear a veil, so why not Grin

ChaircatMiaow · 18/05/2015 15:51

Sorry, a birdcage veil is what I meant. Not a fascinator.

Sigh. Baby brain.

Do remember that these things have a decent resale value so definitely worth seeing what you like and then searching second hand. Or, if you don't fancy second hand, remember you can sell it when you're done with it.

Despite the awful name, Glitzy Secrets make lovely costume stuff for brides which are a bit less expensive than the ones in Kittie's link:

That's a lovely dress assuming you're the bride. If you're not, its overkill ;-)

There are some well priced suggestions here

ToffeePenny · 18/05/2015 17:56

Flat veil or mantilla would be my choice with that dress. In both cases chapel or puddle length so you can see the shape of the dress through it.

THANK YOU SO MUCH! I've only just come back to check this thread and found a million brilliant suggestions -- I'm thrilled!

Thanks Dowser. :) :)

The dress is from Debenhams in this year's bridal collection. I love it so I'm relieved so many of you have said you like it too. It's not that expensive either - £230. I know it's a lot, but it's nothing compared to some dresses I've seen in proper bridal shops.

I will go through all your suggestions properly tomorrow. Thank you!!!
