Or just your hands. Or something else? I bet you can make your own scrunchie can you?

DressingGownFrown why would you not use your hands?

dementedpixie · 17/05/2015 13:54

I call it a shower puff and think of a scrunchy as being for your hair. I do use them as they make the shower gel foam up better.

I use one. It really makes the shower gel lather much better and go much much further. It exfoliates and makes you feel much cleaner.

DressingGownFrown · 17/05/2015 14:33

I don't touch my actual arsehole with my hands...
Am I a prude or am I weird for giving it a good scrub with my shower scrunchie? Blush

cardoon · 17/05/2015 15:53

I use a special boden peg to clip mine together then sort of wedge it in a ring thing which is on the shower riser rail

Soap and Glory gloves. They live tucked behind the shower pole thing (technical term, obvs). Awesome for spotty bums cheeks and rough bingo wings. You can also bung em in the wash periodically which the scrunchie things can't handle.

LadyB49 · 17/05/2015 22:43

Scrunchie always

CointreauVersial · 18/05/2015 00:07

Scrunchy here. Makes the shower gel foam up nicely.

PurpleScooter · 18/05/2015 09:10

Scrunchie here also. But only ones from The Body Shop. Nice and soft. Those and tea tree oil are the only reason I go in a Body Shop now.

Mumstudentbum · 18/05/2015 09:42

Scrunchie here too. Have dry rough skin and it's the only my thing I feel gives a good scrub. I don't wash bum and fanjo with it though I use hands. It's a bit rough for there

DP and Ds have a man washer, they love it! www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0030GVS2U/ref=mp_s_a_1_6?qid=1431938521&sr=8-6&pi=AC_SX110_SY165&keywords=manwasher&dpPl=1&dpID=51cmefgIxGL&ref=plSrch

Net puff thing.

The only thing that gets my goat is that they need replacing so often because they unfurl so quickly. Mind you, they should probably be replaced fairly frequently anyway what with all the ringpiece contact.

BrianButterfield · 18/05/2015 09:53

I love them - they're not abrasive or scratchy with shower gel on, you get a good foam and yes the scent lasts better on your skin. I find if you just use your hands I feel like the soap has only gone on some areas and just slid off others!

missmartha · 18/05/2015 09:53

I use a soft back brush. It is very soft and I can reach all those hard to reach areas with it.

I don't take it with me when I travel and I really miss it. I bought a scrunch for holidays but DH used to hate them until he found one in PoundLand that's got a big rubber base with knobbly bits on. Frightens the life out of me. He's not very blokey, so I'm surprised really that this black rubber thing with tough grey frilly, scrunchy attached gives him so much pleasure.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 18/05/2015 10:00

Well, this thread is not selling them to me, I don't want to smell like shower gel and I do want it to rinse off in about 3 seconds so I'm sticking with hands.

iwantgin · 18/05/2015 10:03

Yes, if using shower gel. It means that only a small amount of gel is used - so not as drying on the skin. It also cleans better imo than just rubbing on with hands. I've trained DS up to scrub all around his stinky armpit area - not just 'in the pits' using a body puff. (We don't share one )

However at the moment am preferring to use bar soap - so just hands with that one.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 18/05/2015 11:14

I manage with about a 2p size blob of gel and hands. Lather it in hands and swoosh all over - I do step to the side out of the running water while I do it though so it isn't all washed away instantly.

Allie82 · 19/05/2015 22:22

I used to use a scrunchie but pretty sure it made my bacne worse so I just use hands now x

Judydreamsofhorses · 19/05/2015 22:31

I read somewhere those puff things are a great home for spiders, and have never used one again since - hands all the way here now.
