Want to get myself a treat but not sure what!

Help me s&b gurus. I've had a really long, tough week at work- and run up to it! (First time year 6 teacher- got through SATs without crying). I've been given £50 to get myself a 'well done' treat but I don't know what to buy! I don't need anything in particular and don't really have any big events coming up to buy for.
What would you splurge it on? I'm 34, size 12, fairly straight with ok boobage and 5ft 8. Have short reddish hair.
I'm stumped but would really like something in recognition of my hard work.

I would buy a bottle of posh perfume. Smile
Congrats on getting through your first Yr 6 sats Thanks

LettuceLaughton · 15/05/2015 19:52

perfume ie a good idea.

Earrings?

babyfedleaning · 15/05/2015 19:54

Some Elizabeth Arden 8 hour moisturiser or other expensive skin stuff that you wouldn't normally buy. Or a nice lampshade from Lush designs!

captainflash · 15/05/2015 20:04

Thanks for ideas. I don't really wear perfume- I always forget to put it on! I've had some Eternity for over a year and only used about an inch!
I also have loads of earrings. They're kind of my signature look- love big dangly ones. It's maybe worth a look for another pair though......
Lampshades- no. Don't do housewares really. Wink

Don't know what your style is but I rather like these, well worth a dog about on there in any case.

LettuceLaughton · 15/05/2015 20:13

Dig not dog, obviously. Well, unless that's your thing Shock

KissMyFatArse · 15/05/2015 20:15

Boots perfect and protect serum, I'm waitin till payday to grab some x

captainflash · 15/05/2015 20:27

I may have to spend some time looking through The Outnet!
It's difficult to describe my style in a way. At the weekend I live in harems or skinnies and a baggy top or vest. Converse or Nike hi tops. Work wise, I love a dress (I have over 60! Blush ) 60's shift style, shirt, t shirt. I love Cos and & Other Stories.... I like prints and patterns.
The money is from my nana and she'll ask me what I've bought. I have good skin care stuff, a zatchel, a nice boyfriend watch, leather biker jacket..... It's really hard!
That's why I've thrown myself at your mercy.

My favourite treats are a gorgeous new bra, a blow dry, manicure, pedicure, bottle of champagne, a scarf, posh moisturiser or handcream, lunch with my sister, flowers, candles....

I could go on and on!

Bostonpj · 15/05/2015 20:35

My treat would be a box of Liz Earle products. I love the superskin range.

Coastingit · 15/05/2015 21:16

I'd get a Coeur De Lion bracelet, or maybe stretch the budget slightly for a Monica Vinader one. Or a cream leather Pandora and a single charm.

Brookville · 15/05/2015 21:28

A new pair of summer shoes or sandals to put those SATS truly behind you. Personally, I love lots of the new Clarks range despite being a Birki girl at heart or check out Office's range.

burnishedsilver · 15/05/2015 21:48

I'd spend it on a manicure and/or pedicure.

captainflash · 16/05/2015 07:08

Thank you all for your ideas. For some reason I fell asleep rather early last night...
I probably sound a bit of a princess / awkward as I do some of these things as treats anyway. Blush I had new bras a couple of months ago, skincare and make up all topped up over Easter, my sister is a florist so often brings round flowers and I had my nails and feet done not too long ago either. And my hair was cut and coloured less than a week ago.

My friends and family all say I'm really tricky to buy presents for. Generally, if there's something I like, I buy it! This time I'm stuck. I do really like some of the Monica Vineda jewellery though and was considering getting some saltwaters with it. Or possibly a summery bag. Argh!!!
But I'll look properly at all your ideas. Thank you

Spa day? Groupon or living social have deals.

captainflash · 16/05/2015 10:35

It doesn't have to be something to wear but I kind of like having something to keep in a way. So then whenever I use it or wear it, I'd remember that they're my SATs earrings or SATs bag IYSWIM?
There's been some good suggestions thank you. I think I'm off to Kilver Court outlet in half term on a shopping trip with my sister so might wait till then. I really can't think of anything!

Well done for surviving! I am in Y6 (but not first year in there) but I am also going to get myself a treat as, not only have I survived SATs, but we also had Ofsted the week before Hmm
I am getting nice makeup and a new jacket for the summer.

ShyGirlie · 16/05/2015 20:18

Nice matching lingerie

New purse

Sunglasses

Put it towards a kindle or similar

???

captainflash · 16/05/2015 21:30

Ah good. Another teacher who understands the rationale behind a SATs treat! My husband thinks it's a bit bonkers. I reward myself for getting through things all the time. Observations, scrutinies, Ofsted....! SATs AND Ofsted should mean a big treat in my book. Wink
I am leaning towards a foxy Chanel lipstick as an interim treat (my mum always wears them and the smell would remind me of her) and then saving the rest for Kilver Court. Unless I can find the summer bag of my dreams. A not £400 alike of Anna had woven leather Anya Hindmarch. That's a challenge is gladly pass on.

I can type- and construct a sentence-honest! Gold woven Anya Hindmarch alike that I'd gladly pass on... Blush
