help me make my bed look nice

after a disastrous flirtation with a plum-coloured duvet cover which went straight back to the store, dh has put his little gay foot down and decided that, like Anthea, he believes that bedlinen should be White.

Which was lovely in summer. But now my bed looks as warm and inviting as a polar ice cap

So, it is white, it is iron-style (ie not from Feather and Black, but from Ikea) I have a chocolate brown carpet (which is very lovely) and purple and glass chandeliers

flirting with idea of a fake fur throw but wondering if it will Look Odd atop the snowball of my bed?

JackieNo · 09/11/2006 10:55

Agree that if it's all going to be white, you need to go for texture to make things feel cosier. Doesn't have to be fluffy, but there are some lovely ones around. Cod's link has a white fluffy one on for £40, which sounds OK.

JackieNo · 09/11/2006 10:58

You could go for cream, and get a chenille one (would have to see in rl to see if it was nice or naff, I guess - never quite sure about chenille), or a velvety one , or a quilted velvet one ?

JackieNo · 09/11/2006 11:03

Or some fur ones here , here , or go for lambswool (bit ££ though).

That's my bed, that is [absurdly proud emoticon]., Although my cushions aren't matchy-matchy with my throw, they co-ordinate (much more chic )

TheHighwayCod · 09/11/2006 11:41
