Can someone help me find some sort of cardi jacket thing to wear to Chelsea??

I've had some amazing help finding clothes from people on here before so am trying my luck!

So I've got two new dresses. Haven't chosen which one to wear yet - I'm off to Chelsea flower show and it may well be a bit nippy. Both are sleeveless, need some sort of thing to wear over the top like a blazer or cardi or bolero....I am useless at this. I dont even know what sort of thing to look for. Don't want to spend too much (maybe max £30-40) as also need to get shoes, and I don't have many occasions where I dress up like this - mainly live in jeans and trainers to run around after DD :)

I do have a few six weddings this year though so something versatile I could wear to those would be brilliant.

Haven't found shoes yet so afraid I can't tell you what they're like. I'm 5'7, size 10-12, fair colouring, almost 30, small boobs if that helps.

These are the dresses:

Thank you lovely people!!

I didn't think Chelsea Flower Show was that smart?

waxweasel · 09/05/2015 16:34

I don't think it is - we went to the Hampton Court one last year and I just wore jeans. But we're going on day 1 when the Queen is there, and I fancied making it more of an occasion :)

Flat shoes, unless you are used to heels, as a lot of walking. Have a great time.

woollytights · 10/05/2015 15:54

No help (sorry!) but I absolutely love dress number 2. What a gorgeous find.

waxweasel · 10/05/2015 18:26

Thank you! Got it off asos - I don't normally do that sort of bandeau style dress, but I just loved the colours.

You don't dress up for the flower show really ( we go most years in whatever we wear all year), so wear what you have tbh

BadgersArse · 10/05/2015 18:30

lol at ' to chelsea'

you old ponce

BadgersArse · 10/05/2015 18:31

Won't you be utterly FREEZING in those dresses? I had a north face duvet coat on yesterday when I was outside a lot

PoppyBlossom · 10/05/2015 18:34

I think it might be a bit too much really

mirpuppet · 10/05/2015 18:45

I love the first dress.

To dress down maybe a denim jacket. If its tomorrow it is suppose to be warm in London.

burnishedsilver · 10/05/2015 19:59

It's a few years since I was there but it was pretty casual.
My one tip is, even if you don't suffer from hayfever, take an antihistamine before you go.

Re. cardigans, you could check [[http://www.woolovers.com/womens/cardigans Woolovers)).

They are pretty cheap and come in a variety of colours. I am not totally convinced by the quality and Unisex stuff comes out massive even if you buy size S.

Enjoy Chelsea and the weddings!

mewkins · 10/05/2015 21:21

The first dress is lovely and perfect for weddings. Would be lovely to wear with flat sandals and a cardi/denim jacket for the flower show if warm but wear something warm if the forecast isn't great or else you will be miserable.

Was gonna link to my Primark Parka in Pocket when I saw the title which is what I wear when I go to Chelsea....then I clicked on the thread and realised you didn't mean football Blush feeling most uncivilised now.
