Hold those curls in? Poker straight fine long hair - will I ever get the curls to hold all day? Help

I wondered if anyone can recommend products that will genuinely hold the curls in all day. I use straightners for the curl, and also have a lovely 32mm wand. Beyond that, the curls are gone by lunch Confused

You could try a gentle perm so it's not a very tight curling that makes sense depends if you want a curl all the time really not sure other than that sorry

It sounds like my hair. Curls are not what it wants and it's very clear about that indeed. I had a perm in the 80's, it almost held for 24 hours...

Give it up Smile

Really bad for your hair, but spray hairspray on before using the highest heat possible (ie corioliss or similar)

Also don't curl it from the top - the weight of your hair will cause it to drop out. Start the curl from bottom third of your hair - will give the hair a lovely blow dried / princess Kate look

I accepted a long, long time ago that my hair is curl phobic.

Lightly spray each section with hairspray before you curl it

I use salt spray and mousse on mine baby fine hair before it dries and then curl with straightening irons. Works for me, even survived Florida humidity

I use moose after washing, I find it gives my hair extra texture and "grit" to hold the curls.
