I have shoulder length quite thick hair. I want to buy this tomorrow but which size should I get? I thought there was just one but seen two on website & not sure which one to go for?

I have shoulder length quite thick, layered hair too and I have the 42mm one, which is fine. I haven't used/seen the 50mm one, but I don't think it would be so good on the layers. For what it's worth, I got nattering to a woman in the gym changing room, who was twirling a John Frieda equivalent. She said that she had the BBBH 50mm at home, but that she preferred this, smaller one. Her hair was a bit shorter than mine though.

My decision to buy the 42mm was also steered by the fact Asda had it at £30 rather than £44.96, which it is back up to now.
