What do you think of this?

I've got a wedding to go to in December and one in February too - different guests so will be ok with one outfit!

What do you think of the dress below - I was going to wear it with a fake fur wrap over my shoulders, and it also comes with straps, which i'd probably wear! I like the dress and just need some reassurance it will be ok - I am a shopoholic believe it or not, but always need to ask opinions! lol!

I know, i'd never used coast before and didnt realise how gorgeous it was.

Thanks np - you think its ok for a wedding too with a fur wrap over it?

Now - red shoes/bag or black?!!!

pefect for a wedding wit ha wrap

if you cant push the boat out ofr a wedding when can you?

i think red would be nice but it would have to be the perfect matching red - ie to the red in the dress and to each other (bag and shoes)

black would be nice too though, plain? cos the dress is not?

slingbacks and a clutch?

I love Coast. Beautiful dress.
Do you think it might be cold though?
Bloody freezing here today, even with a wrap. I'm sitting here with a down filled gilet on in the house

Yes, I thought one of those fur wraps would be nice in black.

Dont want the bag that goes with it - think it may be too much really, and would never use it, so thought i'd get a matching bag and shoes.

Slingbacks will be nice yes, I'll start hunting!

Oh no, i hope nobody else is in the same dress!

Like it, very suitable for civil-ceremony-in-hotel type wedding, but if draughty-church type you will freeze, even with fur wrap. Also echo Tutter's risk of Dress Snap.

Would recommend black bag with red or glittery or sparkly detail; and black shoes (wouldn't get the matching bag myself)

yes i know what you are saying about the bag

much more classy to have matiching bag and shoes

and practical in 'use again' sense

NB these are lovely IRL and looked like the right kind of red.
Have also decided red suede bag might be better for a day wedding than a spangly one.

i think too naked fro a wedding

mullingitover · 07/11/2006 16:56

oooh i like those shoes mrsbadger. Funny I was thinking suede just a while ago - the top layer of the dress is lace - do you think suede would be better than a satin type material shoe?

Suede is fab with matte fabrics (great with chiffon or crepe) and is generally better for daywear - keep satin for evening.
Unless it's a black tie wedding...
