Stylish daytime outfits for mums of young children

I have a 22-month old, and need some good outfit ideas for daytime looks. I'm not mumsy, and have/had a great wardrobe for work and the lifestyle I had pre baby. I'm not great at casual clothes though. Help! I see some mums looking really put together with great skinny jeans, vests, scarves and the right kind of flattish shoes. My stuff is a bit too 'dressed up'.

Top shop baxters in black or white. Great skinny jeans emmanuellenalt wears them but she does have long legs!!!
Uniqlo for basic cotton t shirts and vests and silk shirts that can just be put in the washing machine.
The outnet for scarves like missoni or malene birgir.
Flat boots from marks and Spencer's

Agh I have given up with this as always end up manky with bits of smushed banana stuck to me. I am looking forward to my little one being a bit older and a bit cleaner!! Summer is easier though. Rolled up skinny or boyfriend jeans, looser top or tshirt, sunglasses and sandals. Done.

A braver and more stylish woman I see about looks good in a straw trilby.

I'm just emerging from babydom and trying to make an effort with pedicures, nice scarves, great stretch jeans and lovely knitwear in plain colours. Summer is easy - my staple is Jersey dresses and lovely flat sandals or expensive flip flops. Or tight cropped trousers or denim with a lovely cotton shirt and simple silver necklace.
I hate anything that looks mumsy (tunics and leggings!!) and find a lot of flat footwear mumsy.
So far I've opted for leather flat boots and canvas non-mumsy pumps, interspersed with jewelled flats and leather ballerinas in interesting colours.
It is really difficult to not slip into just wearing comfy stuff, especially
When your figure isn't what it used to be!
