Good hairdresser in City of London?

I'm trying to simplify life and want to find somewhere to get my hair cut and dyed in town so I can go straight after work. Can anyone recommend somewhere (so many places have awful reviews)?

Nicholson and Griffin on Gracechurch Street are brilliant. Denise does my hair and she is lovely and very talented. Free Prosecco on Thursdays and Fridays too, if that is a consideration!

Taylor Taylor on the edge of Spitalfields Market are brilliant. See if Kasia is still there, she's a genius.

Depends which side of the City you're on but I used to go to Glass near the Barbican on Carthusian Street. I was put off from using them originally as they seemed a bit too cool for me and instead tried the salon across the road from them, which was a nightmare (from the wash being too cold to the hair dryer scorching my hair and an awful cut that made me look like I'd come out as an old woman from the seventies, still gives me shudders).

So I took a deep breath and tried Glass and they were great - very approachable, always came away with a good cut, pleasant stylists, and so on. Much less full of themselves than the salon across the road that in hindsight seemed very small town and thought much more of themselves than they could actually deliver!

Haven't been there for a few years though sorry so I don't know what it's like any more.

I used to go to Shiroma in Exchange Arcade off Bishopsgate when I worked in the city. Nearly all the staff were Japanese and they gave amazing shoulder massages! I work in the west end now and wish I had a reasonably priced hairdresser nearby for similar reasons!

Miranda or Brent at Bar Hairdressing on St John Street are brilliant. Good prices too plus free drink (wine/beer) while you're there.

I was going to say Shiroma too. Bloody fantastic service for a great price.
