I have the worst type of skin, dry, sensitive but also bloody spot prone.

I've got the Olay complete effects (or something) combination night cream. It's ok.

Budget is about £20 max

The best I have come across, although now out of my price-range, is Estee Lauder Daywear - you can get it for dry/sensitive skin as well. Now using Liz Earle which is also pretty good.

NomDePlume · 06/11/2006 11:48

Thanks for those recommendations. I find that the propblem is that I need rich stuff to quench my thirty skin, but it also has the effect of fuelling my spot-prone-ness (IYSWIM)

Lush do some nice ones - try Afterlife.

NomDePlume · 06/11/2006 12:33

I've only ever been into Lush a handful fo times but I';m always put off by the strong soapy smell in there. It has always put me off buying anything because highly perfumed stuff is generally a complete 'mare for my skin.

Do battle past the smell - it is strong because they very sensibly don't over-package things. Can be off-putting though!

StrangeTown · 06/11/2006 23:07

Dermalogica is good and actually works out to be pretty economical - I find the stuff lasts me ages. Have a look at Active Moist.

Neal's Yard frankincense moisturiser is fantastic for dry skin & isn't greasy. It's lovely.

ellasmum1 · 06/11/2006 23:49

REN Frankincense & Boswellia Serrata Repair Cream 50ml
This is fantastic, my skin is spot prone but incredibly sensitive with ezcema in places. REN is the only brand I've found that doesn't cause stinging.

Skribble · 07/11/2006 01:11

I use the olay total effects + blemish care. But I still use a anti spot cream on my chin most of the time. Pricey but I try to get it when on special offer.

i have the same skin type and love nivea i've used it for years cheap and chearful

Swizzler · 07/11/2006 09:11

Lush Celestial moisteriser. I have the same type of skin and it works. Smells nice but good for sensitive skins.

Neals Yard rose facial oil also v good - I find oils can be better than creams as less stuff in them?

bagpussmice · 07/11/2006 20:34

swizzler - I use the rose oil from neals yard as a night cream, it smells delicious... love it! and it lasts for ages

Swizzler · 08/11/2006 11:24

That reminds me - must buy some more (tho shopping with a 4 wk old is a bit of a challenge ). My last bottle lasted months - well worth the tenner or whatever it costs.
