ps the top is so not me, but goes with the jacket

would be happier with a good fitting plain gold/caramel/balck top

I like the jacket and the trousers but not the top. I think it's a bit overkill, I agree that it would look better with a plainer top.

Tutter · 06/11/2006 10:42

this top might be good but i generally avoid v necks as am small of nork

would prefer a square neckline

am dribbling at thought of that jacket - neckline is just lovely.

Principles have a good range of plain black tops in various shapes - this is quite similar to the shape of the Wallis one, and this might be a winner on small norks if the fabric doesn't clash with the jacket/trouser combo.
I must say I think the Wallis one is worth a bash though - it won't show when you have the jacket on and done up, but I think it will look more glamourous than a plian black one when you shed the jacket.

i think the top is fine

i fyou cant go ott ofr a wedding (spesh your bros) when can yuou?

are you like me tho tutter and will have to keep the jacket on all night
(i hate my arms)

Tutter · 06/11/2006 11:29

don't hate my arms - once the lights are down i'll be happy to shed the jacket

ii'm quite excited too about the jacket - love the shape

i have ordered the top in a couple of sizes - i agree that will be smart with the jacket and will prob shed the belt bit (i#m lacking in waist)

can't find many plain shell type tops

not sure about the big button one mrs badge - think the fabric wiould be wrong with the crepe trews

(I think that's because what you've chosen looks lovely, so nobody thinks you need a backup plan). Saw this jacket a while ago and thought it was lovely - limited availability in the red, though, and black may be a bit sombre if you've got black trousers too?

JackieNo · 06/11/2006 16:51

East have some lovely stuff atm, but their website is useless.

JackieNo · 06/11/2006 16:54

Not sure about this , because it's all black again, but looks lovely. (matching trousers if you scroll down).
