I love Phase 8. Their dresses just fit me so well and are so flattering. I have a small waist but a big butt, and flatchestedathletic build. They make me look really shapely.

I also find that their stuff washes well, and keeps shape and colours.

I love this dress - might go have a look for it.

I'm 28 and I really like Phase 8 and just bought a bunch of dresses from there. I like the one you linked. I am about your height and things seem to fit fine. I don't see why it is seen as frumpy. I saw lots of things I liked on the site but restricted myself!

Shortening costs £10-12 at a dry cleaner. Less sometimes at a tailor.

I often buy dresses too long and have them hemmed as I'm 5'2" and I like white stuff dresses but they are frumpy length on me.

Oh - and I think "frumpy" length also depends on your shoes. I can't wear high heels so I feel I need dresses shorter. If you can wear killer heels then dresses can be longer and still look nice.
