Hair straighteners-what is best for curly hair?

Ok, I love big, wavy, curly hair. However I'm board with the same style every day and thought maybe straightening every once and while could kick me out of my style rut.

Any suggestions or advice? I'm thinking of going shopping tomorrow for ghd's?

Corioliss. Cheaper and just as good.

Love my ghds for strightening. I have very thick curly hair.

I haven't tried many others but stay away from babliss.

Thank you for your replies! Any particular products I should use?

Oh and any specific model of ghd's?

I just use a bit off serum on wet hair. Dry it and strighten.

My ghds are eleven years old. I don't have a clue what model they are. There still song strong.

if I was buying new ones I'd go for the really broad ones but only because my hair is quite long and I imagine it would make the job quicker

I've heard that the new GHDs are not as good as the ones from a few years ago.

I do Curly Girl now but when I did straighten I used the GHD IV they have wider plates and are designed for thicker hair, made it much quicker than using he regular smaller plates.

Don't get the new ghds they are rubbish! Wish I had got something else. I think cloud 9 has been recommended on here before.

Ok, thank you for the advice. Hmm more research is needed me thinks? When I have had my hair straightened at the hairdressers it's taken an hour Hmm .
