Just bought a lovely skirt in coast sale which I hope to wear as godmother to a christening in 3 weeks. The girl in the shop said..oh..just team it up with a wrap silk shirt or cardigan and fine boots and it will be lovely. Oh ok I said..now where do I look? Any advice..the skirt is A line with a black net over satin look with stripes and flower designs on the net. Sounds hideous but actually really pleased with it.
Any help on these fine boots or wrap top gratefully received!

Hate to keep plugging them but Boden have some stretchy long boots that keep your leg shape. I think they also have some wrap cardigans - not sure where you can get silk wrap tops from? Monsoon maybe?

if its any consolation i have really struggled to find any long boots that i like this year - although this may be due to my conservative budget!

Thanks...off to browse at Boden website...

Or some nice black sueade boots might be nice.

Or if money Ok pick a colour in skirt and get a pair of boots in this colour and match top.

I did this a few years ago and ended up with a pair pf purple suede LK Bennet boots that DH raised his eyebros at but I have worn them lots.

possible looking wrap cardigan here , silk wrap bluse (though you'd need thermals) here . Something like this migth also work so long as it didn't lok too much with the lace.

Agree 'fine boots' are snug, possibly stretchy, boots with elegant foot shape like these - non-fine boots are this kind of thing, like you'd wear with jeans.

[apologies for awful typing there]
