Gradual tanners, which one should I try?

Dp's mam is getting married in August, I'd like to wear a dress but without my usually pasty legs.

Any recommendations for gradual tanning lotions I can try out between now and then? (not toooo £££ please)

thankyou Smile

Pinkrocker that's a good question because so far I've only had to use the Dove one once to get the colour I like and that's when it left me with the tanned palms. So if I put some on tomorrow or whenever next, it will be with gloves so I suppose I'll know then!
I didn't prep or pre-moisturised before I used it and it hasn't clung on to elbows or anything like that

Amethyst do you use the light or the dark st tropez? I would usually use the dark one in garnier or dove but had a bad experience with a st tropez spray on once which went incredibly dark!

RL20, let us know how you get on?
I'm wondering about shaving before...will the tanner give me brown dots where the hairs grow out again!?

I use the dark and I'm quite fair skinned (nw20).

pinkrocker · 19/04/2015 12:16

What's Nw20 mean?

Which ever fake tan I use, if I shave before, I get a bit of a rash.

After this thread and a bad fake tan disaster last week I went into town and bought the st. tropez.. gradual light to medium. It was 13 euro on special offer and I bought two hoping that will do me for the summer and cheaper than getting a once off spray tan.

I don't think I would pay full price for it. I applied it last night and the smell is lovely, not sticky feeling or anything. very light colour as I like a medium to dark usually but I am very happy with it and will build it up this week each night then just do it twice a week after that.

I think it is much nicer than the others I have tried.

lovely and natural and foolproof. no patches at all.

Another vote for St Tropez. I just use the mousse, applied with a mit and it's v easy. One bottle lasts AGES

Another vote for St Tropez, one bottle lasts me all summer. I use it 3-4 times a week. Smells lovely too.

frankietwospots · 20/04/2015 11:27

20% off St Tropez on M&S website at the moment.

If you regularly self tan, do you bother with your back? I'm dithering over what to wear...it won't be loooow backed but if I wear something lowish then my back's going to be white compared to the rest of me Confused
