Help me find a swimming costume's that covers my bits, they are always too revealing on my crotch

I am so fed up of looking, I must have tried on 15 different ones today but they were all cut too small on my crotch. It's really embarrassing. I'm going on holiday in a month and I can't find anything that covers me enough to feel comfortable.

I am overweight and long in the body so that probably makes it worse, please can someone help me.

What about a swim dress like this?

Is a two piece out of the question? Is it called a tankini, a costume in two bits but with a vest style top? The crotch wouldn't be pulled upwards so much.

Have you tried shops like Long Tall Sally?

StormyLovesOdd · 14/04/2015 23:02

Really don't like the skirted ones, the make me feel about 70 though if it is all I can get I may have to go for that.

I have tried a long costume on in m & s and I still had the same problem, it's like they are all cut too narrow for me.

I'm too fat for tankinis and still have the same issue anyway. The problem isn't on the leg, it's the fango area which isn't covered enough. When I puta swimsuit on there's a big gap on each side, looks awful and makes me feel like I am showing the world my fanny.

I should have name changed for this...

What about a maillot style? I think Figleaves have some this season.

LastNightADJSavedMyLife · 14/04/2015 23:11

I've just bought this one which fits fine. I am an 18 and 5ft 9 if that helps?

NoArmaniNoPunani · 14/04/2015 23:12

What about shorts style ones?

piggychops · 14/04/2015 23:13

Believe it or not Tesco swimsuit s are quite good and not cut too high. My last 2 have come from there and they last well. I'm quite long in the body and 14/16. The 16 fits well.

LastNightADJSavedMyLife · 14/04/2015 23:14

You could always try something like this?

trinitybleu · 14/04/2015 23:14

Stormy I know exactly what you mean so watching with interest. Was going to try find a shorts style one, rock the 50's look Wink Grin

MincePieDiet · 14/04/2015 23:14

I have the Elle tonal wrap swimsuit it is cut low on the leg and is snug where you need it. Sorry cannot link from here.

MissMuffetisin · 14/04/2015 23:16

Debenhaams have some costumes this year with a small skirt - covers your bits, and the very top of your thighs - were I always scorch !

StormyLovesOdd · 14/04/2015 23:19

Really not keen on the shorts style ones either, they're really not pretty and I have have a big tummy, there's no hiding it in shorts style. I just want a swimsuit that fits.

Do you have a long body? Landsend do long swimsuit

burnishedsilver · 14/04/2015 23:31

Tankini top with board shorts like these

NoArmaniNoPunani · 14/04/2015 23:56

How about this

Italiangreyhound · 15/04/2015 00:11

I can't say about the long tall element of it, as I am neither, but I like the tummy control ones as a larger lady!

Also having worm plain black a lot I now go for bolder.

Do any of these appeal....

Debenhams tummy control swimsuit

  1. red polka dot
  1. Black floral panel bandeau
  1. Purple floral wrap
  1. Black polka dot
  1. Black zebra print

Good luck.

Italiangreyhound · 15/04/2015 00:13

Oh and not completely helped by the fact the model is petite and gorgeous but if you want a suit to make you feel covered and comfortable you will probably need to try them on anyway.

Fletcherl · 15/04/2015 08:32

I agree with lands end long length I have had these for the last few years as a regular swimmer.

CremeDeSudo · 15/04/2015 09:52

Similar problem here - I got a longer length one from Simply Be last year when I was a size 18/20 similar to the one posted above so I'd recommend that.

I've slimmed down to a 14 now and back on the same mission! Either flashing too much boob or foof Blush. Belly too podgy for a tankini. Doesn't help that I'm so picky though..

Itsalldramarama · 15/04/2015 10:31

Marisota have some decent long length ones , I got a nice black one that covers bits ok ! I'm 5.10 and long bodied , think the one I got is a ' slim suit one ' good tummy control and not frumpy Smile
