Quick qn if you use sls /silicone free products in your hair

Before I start using sls /silicone free products, do I have to 'strip' my hair of the silicone build up somehow? Like a clarifying shampoo or something?

Actually 2 questions (sorry) - are there any products I can use on my hair after I've washed it that will tame the frizz, I'm currently using an argan oil product (cheapy from Primark) but one that doesn't have silicone?

I think you can use any shampoo using sodium Lauryl sulphate. Maybe wash it twice just to be sure.

The best thing I found to tame my frizz was leave in conditioner, it doesn't have to be a specific 'leave in' one, just one without silicone obvs. I then use gel (umberto Gianni and Biosilk Rock Hard Gel mixed together) and dry until about 80% dry with a diffuser.

I have been using the curly girl method for years now, it's a lot of trial and error to find the products that work for your hair but the results are worth it.
