I got a pair in summer 2012, just before they discontinued them. very comfy, although I don't get the wear out of them I should (I mostly wear a pair of Sperry strappy t-bar sandals when there's a hint of sun). You're making me feel guilty! They had these heeled versions called Seren in the same colours; I keep checking eBay on the off chance someone's getting rid of a pair but no joy Sad I don't know why the hell Clarks got rid of these great classic styles and replaced them with fucking moon boot sandals Angry

weirdhamster · 12/04/2015 22:01

there is a clarks outlet in hatfield is you're anywhere near there..

TheCraicDealer · 12/04/2015 22:07

These Birkenstocks are similar.

JoyceDivision · 12/04/2015 22:49

Hi everyone, thanks for the replies!

All the suggestions are great, but they're just not the kestral soar...

Craic...get them on ebay you'll make a fortune!

OP posts:
tethersend · 12/04/2015 22:56

TheCraic, I just gave a pair of Serin sandals away as I never wore them Sad, bugger.

We should have a thread to check if anyone wants stuff before we get rid Grin

Joyce, I will hunt for the sandals because you have the greatest MN nickname Grin (no luck yet, though...)

JoyceDivision · 12/04/2015 22:59

Tethersend, whenever I see you on a s&b thread it usually ends well, so I am thrilled you're taking up the challenge!! Grin

BikeRunSki · 12/04/2015 23:08

Maybe ask your Vicar Wink?

tethersend · 12/04/2015 23:11

Uh-oh, no pressure Grin

Similar?

JoyceDivision · 12/04/2015 23:13

My Vicar? Eh? Sorry, I might be a bit thick, I don't get it!

OP posts:
tethersend · 12/04/2015 23:15

Or these?

JoyceDivision · 12/04/2015 23:18

Soz [BLUSH]

OP posts:
JoyceDivision · 12/04/2015 23:19

Blush ffs!!

OP posts:
tethersend · 12/04/2015 23:20

The blue ones too?

I need to look at the originals again Grin

JoyceDivision · 12/04/2015 23:27

blue ones look like they are gpoing into non ironic nanna territory.

I am v v fussy.Basically, i luff the kestral soars, and trying to get a lokky likey is a bit like asking for gearge clooney but getting this: nearly, but not quite

OP posts:
Pumpkinette · 13/04/2015 01:35

eBay in blue but 5.5 not a 5.

BikeRunSki · 13/04/2015 02:54

Re: vicars - we used to call that style of sandals "vicar shoes" at school. Sorry, but tenuous.

BikeRunSki · 13/04/2015 03:26

???

tethersend · 13/04/2015 09:33

Am coming up with nothing.

Do you have a saved EBay search? Make sure you save not just 'Kestral(sic) soar', but 'Clarks original sandal' and 'Clarks Buckle sandal' saved.

WE WILL FIND SOME.

(But it might take a while...)

bettykt · 13/04/2015 10:16

Not being very helpful here but I have both of these sandals, my Soars are a size 4 and are very well used, haven't worn the Serens much but I think I will now Grin hope you find a a pair soon.

This is a bit of a longshot BUT -
There's a small local chain (I think 3 or 4 branches) of old fashioned, traditional shoe shops around Huddersfield, called Wagstaffs. The Kestral Soar is exactly the kind of shoe they get. I can't imagine that their turnover on adult shoes is super speedy. Might be worth googling and giving them a ring. Branches are in Holmfirth, Meltham
and Honley. Possibly another one. Sadly they don't have a website.

darkness · 13/04/2015 18:35

I googles these as I didnt know what you were looking for
we used to call these jesus sandlas when I was young Grin
and when I googled that instead I found quite a lot of very very similar ones
just a suggestion

GuybrushThreepwoodMightyPirate · 13/04/2015 18:41

Have you tried calling the outlet store in Street, Somerset?

BikeRunSki · 13/04/2015 18:58

There are some East German utilitarian sandals that are a bit Kestral Soar-ish on Amazon if you search "Jesus sandals".
