Its for a wedding (both day and eve) and I am a bit clueless. Could someone suggest some shoes and also cover thing like cardy/shawl etc that would work with it?

Thanks :-)

... ideally if you could put a link to the kind of thing you mean, that would be really helpful!!!!

Remus have you got any ideas?

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 12/04/2015 16:28

You called?! Grin

Sorry but I am useless with shoes. The kinds of footwear I like are almost universally hated on here.

I'd wear that with either black tights, black jacket/cardigan/biker and black heeled ankle boots, or with bare legs, clunky sandals and a little cropped cardigan.

I like these

And these

Just a nice conventional, non-clodhopper high heel like this (the seafoam or camelia shade would work beautifully, not cheap but I guess you could find similar if your budget doesn't stretch:))

Oh, for a thing to wear on your shoulders, how about a large plan scarf, picking up on the background colour of the dress or maybe in a muted silver shade)?
This sort of style:

or like this but plain because the dress is beautiful but quite busy:

I'm thinking this sort of thing:

Thanks for all the replies, it's really helped me. Think I'll go for some dark pink heels like a few people suggested.

Leo - I like pashminas on other people but don't think I'd feel comfortable wearing one myself.... No idea why! Have you got any other ideas??

Thanks everyone Smile

Id pick out the pink but go for a wedge - much comfier for all day wear imo. Ill have a look for some links

takingabreath · 12/04/2015 17:17

does the pink need to be exactly the same shade as the belt or not??

Nah they are far enough away, as long as its not neon or salmon pink - just go for like a hot pink

Carpaccio · 12/04/2015 17:32

Personally, I'd wear it with a black biker jacket - either a leather one or similar to this: www.hm.com/gb/product/71091?article=71091-A

If wearing black/dark tights, you could go for black shoes or ankle boots, but I think it can look too much with bare legs and black shoes.

So if wearing nude tights/bare legs, you could go for nude/taupe heels or metallic sandals, or even pink sandals.
Personally, I wouldn't wear the pink sandals again, so I probably would not go for that option - but that's just me :)

I really like these: www.zara.com/uk/en/shoes---bags/woman/shoes/wide-heel-leather-sandal-c598019p2558029.html
Pink ones I would wear again - but they are somewhere in between nude and pink: www.zara.com/uk/en/shoes---bags/woman/shoes/double-strap-heeled-sandals-c598019p2511576.html
These are nice too: www.zara.com/uk/en/shoes---bags/woman/shoes/leather-high-heel-sandal-with-ankle-strap-c598019p2517185.html
