if you have lymphoedema (or just big legs and swollen feet) what are you wearing?

I've got lymphoedema in my leg (both legs really but one's more obvious than the other) and I really struggle in the summer. I've been to the beach today in boots which is obviously not great!

I've gone from a tiny size 4 to a 6eee shoe and I hate it - I'm only 35!

I have support stockings and sometimes use taping therapy which helps but I have wearing the stockings in the summer!

Hi there, i dont have lymphoedema but i do feel i have big legs and calves. I tend to wear alot of loose fit linen trousers through summer with flip flops (not sure these would be any good for swollen feet though) and they are so comfy. I usually have about 3 or 4 pairs in different colours so i can wear them with vest tops. I also like the long "gypsy" style skirts with the built in thick belts (from peacocks) and these also cover up well, but look really nice. Hope this helps you xx

Meant to say that I find Next the best place for linen trousers and I think they are £20 and wash really well.

Have you seen your GP, OP?

Thanks Wanna - I do have a pair of linen pants (need some different tops as i have a big tummy)

Flip flops are difficult - my feet 'put' and ache after a couple of hours

Squeezy - yes, I have and see a nurse every 6 months.

The stockings I had helped but the pharmacy have struggled to get them in the next size down which I need now(yey) so they're not massively supportive any more
