If you are a bit of a sheep like me like this style but don't want to spend a fortune on something so obviously 'this year' you might like to know that Primark are doing them for £10. I bought a pair today and am really pleased with them - very comfy and look pricier than they were. HTH someone :).

Ooh, thanks... are they pointy?

New Look ones also not bad.

Valsoldknickers · 06/04/2015 20:35

They're called ghillies. Office had really lovely ones but they're sold out, I am really hopeful that they'll get them back in, would also love a pair!

Oops, sorry that link didn't work, trying again:

Valsoldknickers · 06/04/2015 20:38

Thanks for the tip OP. Primark /Penneys it is then!

CambridgeBlue · 06/04/2015 20:59

I wasn't sure about the gold on the New Look ones, a bit bling for my taste. The Primarni ones are flat and pointy with lacing up the foot and a zip at the back.

The gold heel is so they look exactly like the original Aquazurra ones... I can't find a pic of the primark ones to compare...

CambridgeBlue · 06/04/2015 21:31

I didn't realise that - don't like it any better on the originals! The New Look ones are clearly a closer copy then but I prefer the shape and lack of gold on the Primark ones.

OP posts:
tethersend · 06/04/2015 21:41

I know what you mean, I'm not completely sold on the gold either... But Christ, I'd hate to have spent £440 on the originals last year Grin

CointreauVersial · 06/04/2015 23:29

The Next versions are £45 and are leather, and lovely. Unfortunately my wide buniony feet are very far from lovely, so I had to return them.

The shoes, that is, not the feet.... Wink

Valsoldknickers · 06/04/2015 23:33

Boden's version (but not in black)

burnishedsilver · 06/04/2015 23:59

I like bodens version the best but I suspect the style will he done to death by the end of the Summer so the cheaper the better.

lurkingaround · 07/04/2015 00:11

The Next ones are lovely. As are the Boden.
Not so fond of the Isabel Marant ones. Yes I know, I'm a philistine. But they are definitely Irish dancing shoes. Put eyelets in them, they're still Irish dancing shoes.

MagicCarpet · 07/04/2015 00:13

Ha, I hadn't made the dancing shoe connection in my head till just now!

After my previous spectacular link fails hopefully this will work! This is Jane from My Midlife Fashion in the Office version. I love these but sadly they are out of stock Sad

Valsoldknickers · 07/04/2015 06:58

Sorry for the double post. I thought the first version was lost Blush

CambridgeBlue · 07/04/2015 07:05

The Primark ones are pretty much identical to those Office ones by the look of that pic.

OP posts:
Lardylassnomore · 07/04/2015 07:30

I might have a look at them today

tethersend · 07/04/2015 08:03

Are these the Primark ones?

They're nice, but a bit open on the sides for me.

CambridgeBlue · 07/04/2015 21:49

Yes that looks like them. They are pretty open but I like that as I hate hot feet - bit worried about wearing them in the sun mind you, I tend to catch it without realising and really don't want criss cross patterned feet!

Valsoldknickers · 08/04/2015 18:14

Just FYI, was in Office today. They have another version out, nowhere near as nice , very very pointy with just a few small eyelets down the sides for a long thin lace (the overall look wasn't as 'strappy' as the previous version), they come in black or red suede €78.

Went and bought the Penney's / Primark version. OK they're not leather but I couldn't walk away because they were only €13! They come in black or cream suede. I had to size down as they were massive. They'll do me for the moment Smile

Valsoldknickers · 08/04/2015 18:31

When I say suede, I meant synthetic suede btw.

Some fashion bloggers spotted in Dalston this afternoon..........

Twinklestein · 08/04/2015 18:37

I had some last summer and got fed up of tying them.

Valsoldknickers · 08/04/2015 23:50

Twinklestein the versions I have seen have all had zips up the back. Don't blame you for being fed up!
