Can short women wear palazzo style trousers?

I am only 5 ft 3.5 inches. I am just into the overweight BMI and about a size 12. I was a lot thinner last summer and wore cute skinny dresses. Anyway I though these wide legged linen style trousers of the palazzo trousers would be comfy for summer but are they only for taller women?can I wear them or will I look silly?

I think they look better on taller women yes.. All you can do is try them on and see how they are and if you feel comfortable in them...

I'm 5'1" and I wear them, my mum is much shorter and she wears them. They look great. It's not as though they hang flat and stick out a foot to each side! They are linen and they hang and move nicely and are super comfy for summer. Do not allow fashion to dictate what you wear because you are short. The fashion industry bases everything on a height of 5'7" or even 5'9" or more, just because they don't make it in Petite doesn't mean that we shouldn't wear it. they don't make it in Petite because we are a minority and it would double their stockholding! google me, you'll see that I know this.

BTW, BMI is a very inaccurate way of judging your size. It's a guide, not an absolute.

Wear the trousers and love them!
