I don't have a Next with a school wear section and I really don't want to order from them. Where else sells them? he's not looking cool apparently

Bhs had some slim fit trousers, but not sure if slim enough to be considered skinny.

ihearttc · 05/04/2015 18:01

Order Next ones into a store?

rumbleinthejungle · 05/04/2015 18:04

DS insists on wearing M & S ones - far skinnier than Next.

MadameJulienBaptiste · 05/04/2015 18:07

I order next ones to collect from store. Slim fit jeans style (look nothing like jeans). No pleats at the waist just straight slim trousers.
order on credit card, take the child with you when you collect. Child tries them on in store and if they aren't right the amount is credited back on your card so no money goes out of your bank account.

BikeRunSki · 05/04/2015 18:30

I do what Madame does-ish.

I order in store using Next account.
Order to store close to work.
Pick up the following lunchtime.
Take them home for DS to try on.
Take the others back.
Account is credited with what I have returned, I'm never charged for what I've returned, not even on CC for a few days/hours.

Im desperately hunting for some for dd in navy! I got them in Next last year and they were perfect but they only stock black now.
She's a skinny Minnie and only wants skinny jean style and I can't find them anywhere.

Bunbaker · 05/04/2015 19:25

I would double check with the school that skinny fit trousers are acceptable. They don't allow skinny fit trousers at DD's school.

M&S.

They are so skinny that DS (15) couldn't get them on over his footballer's thighs. Grin We had to send them back and buy standard fit.

MadameJulienBaptiste · 06/04/2015 22:31

Why on earth would a school not allow slim fit trousers for very slender boys? ? We are not talking about skinny fit ankle strangling drainpipes, just normal shape/style trousers cut for slimmer/skinny boys.
When my ds's try standard cut trousers they simply fall down, even with the elastic on tightest setting.

ggirl · 06/04/2015 22:38

m&s skinny fit ds likes them and he's super cool Wink

ggirl · 06/04/2015 22:39

they don't fit like drainpipe trousers just a skinnier leg. I think they look smart.

ElizabethHoover · 06/04/2015 22:39

Next ones

LL0015 · 06/04/2015 22:39

M&S
Order only
I promise they are properly skinny for skinny boys.
Much skinnier than Next
Not skinny fashion. Just a lot less leg and a whole lot less arse.

Sirzy · 06/04/2015 22:39

Next are the best fit for very skinny DS. M and S are next best.

LL0015 · 06/04/2015 22:42

Actually this may help your decision

M&S are lower cut in the rise, they are shorter balls to stomach. My DS (he's 4, we may be at odds) wears his trousers very low naturally. So I'm not talking fashion.

Next skinny for hang off his arse because they are at least an inch or two higher in the rise.

If you want them because he is properly skinny, then M&S.

ggirl · 06/04/2015 22:44

thought OP was asking for fashion skinny not slim skinny?

RaisingSteam · 06/04/2015 22:57

Do you want slim-leg (drainpipe) trousers for a normal build child or slim fit normal trousers for a thin child? Or drainpipe fit for a thin child (possibly GAP?)

Redrosesarethebest · 07/04/2015 17:48

He wants slim fit trousers as apparently the trousers he usually wears are like primary school children wear
