How would you do corporate at the races if you don't wear dresses?

I refuse to spend more money on another dress to sit with the other 2 dresses from previous years. I want to buy something new but something I will wear again.

It isn't hugely formal. It is ladies day but of various standards.

What about recycling the first dress - different accessories, scarf, pashmina, whole different look? No one will remember it if it was a least 2 years ago.

Other option is a smart coloured trouser suit - you get 3 outfits for one: a suit, two separates, a jacket and trousers.

smart coloured trouser suit sounds a bit Cilla

too casual here? www.reiss.com/p/monochrome-print-trousers-womens-olivia-in-blackwhite/?category_id=1125
with a jacket? www.zara.com/uk/en/woman/trousers/buckled-pleated-trousers-c358005p2499559.html

Agree with wearing the first dress. Honestly, no one notices...

jigsaw have a nice silver pleated skirt in that would look ace with ice pink if you are blonde and slim of hip

OhNoNotMyBaby · 02/04/2015 17:20

I never wear dresses. Last ladies day I wore white trousers with a beautiful flowing top.

Also cropped white trousers / leggings, again with a beautiful, elegant top and accessories.

Sorry, massive drip feed. I've lost 2 stone and they are huge. Will look at trouser suits. Thanks!

Thanks Elizabeth but I am dark - trying to be slim of hip but a bit to go yet!

7/8 trousers, dressy vest top and blazer?
Are you going to be hanging around the corporate area or will you be out actually betting and watching? Is it Aintree?
If it was me I'd be doing warm coat, skinnies and warm boots. I've done corporate there but we ate and then headed out to the ring/stands/bookies for the rest of the day as we love racing. But if it is just a day out and you'll be inside all day I would do as mentioned above, then you can use all the separate pieces again.

It is races in Edinburgh. trousers and blazer might be best - it is what I'd be most comfortable in. Thank you.
