Has ipl worked for you if you have a darker skin tone (pic!)

Hi all, I was thinking of getting an ipl machine as I have read some really positive reviews but apparently they're not good for 'darker' skin tones - I'm not really sure how dark they mean! Has anyone who is not Caucasian had ipl done? For background, I'm mixed race (white English and Asian Indian) and have very dark brown hair and mid brown skin. Beyoncé's skin tone without her beauty

Just realised that I only have one earring on in the photo

My skin is darker than yours and I had it done - with ok results.
It's been over a year since I stopped and there's a tiny bit of regrowth.
The important thing is that there is enough of a colour difference between your skin and the hair, therefore the darker your hair, the better the results.
