So my dp has this 'look' where he wears his jeans low and you can see his pants. This is not a new thing and he says it's because nice jeans aren't cut but guys with big arses.

so firstly can anyone else recommend any jeans for him and secondly is it just me as the whole pants showing look is just annoying me but if I ever mention it he gets all defensive. maybe if I can suggest other jeans this is the answer. Confused

He sounds like a real prize, I'm afraid he wouldn't be my dp if he was wearing jeans so low you could see his pants, maybe he just needs to buy jeans the right size?

Floggingmolly · 28/03/2015 21:21

If his arse is so big he can't get jeans to contain it; you he needs to take drastic action very quickly.

SpanishMoss · 28/03/2015 21:27

Tell him that this 'look' was given up by 18 year olds,2 years ago.

What's it like be married to a plumber?? I bet none of your taps drip.

CaptainAnkles · 28/03/2015 21:31

Maybe his shape isn't suited to jeans if they won't stay up over his arse. Does he have a belt?

flux500 · 28/03/2015 21:39

I have mentioned that this look is a bit out of style for the current day and then I am trying to change him. I have also tried to gently discuss the size of his arse and the fact that no jeans fit and this does not go down well. I do think he buys jeans too small and then there is a situation.

He does wear a belt but this does not seem to help at all! Shock

Out of style now men tend to use skinny/slim jeans now

Greysanderson · 28/03/2015 21:56

Although if he has a big arse then I would avoid wearing skinny jeans if I were him.

You could try jacamo apparently they are good for large men.

BuggersMuddle · 29/03/2015 00:12

Um, yeah this was a hot look on fit as hell skateboarders 15+ years ago when it was actually in fashion

Now, really no.

There are loads of jeans brands and fits nowadays. What's the budget? DP has no arse whatsoever and tends to Diesel / Citizens of Humanity (although Diesel can be a bit baggy).

That said, in the nicest possible way, does he have a big bum or is he a big person? (Not necessarily the same thing in terms of clothing recommendations.) With mens jeans sitting lower, it can be easy to continue to buy that 32 waist all the while the overhang is pushing down and the builders bum developing at the back....

Nanny13 · 29/03/2015 02:23

Does he know where the trousers below the pants originated from??

I'm guessing not... The same as all the youngsters these days....

Ew

I feel your pain. My teeth are itching just thinking about it.

I would say Jacamo. Their latest advert suggests they have some "cool gear" for bigger men

Annabannbobanna · 29/03/2015 07:34

Did you check snopes on that one nanny13?

bryonyelf · 29/03/2015 09:13

Show him this email. It isn't attractive, he will look like a knob and it isn't remotely fashionable. He needs to grow up, go to the shops and tr lots of styles on. If he insists none fit then he needs to wear trousers.
