am going to lower the tone of the thread by saying:

Next
dark denim
bootcut
with stretch
in a Long.

Have two pairs (one nearly worn out for camping and gardening, one still nice) - I think fifty pairs is probably more trousers than I've owned in my whole life...

southeastastra · 31/10/2006 12:08

levis i love my 501s even though they're unfashionable

Tutter · 31/10/2006 12:15

socci they're not £200+

£135, but you can get them cheaper if you know your size and order from the US

My favourites are a pair of Gap, long and lean. I own 2 for-best pairs, 2 ok for the shopping pairs, and one old pair that are for everyday use.

Where the hell do you store 50 pairs Addictedtoshpping?

peanutbutter · 31/10/2006 12:18

me n jeans just don't go. they look okay in the changing room, i get them home, put them on, then catch sight of myself in a mirror and it's nearly always the same - camel's hoof syndrome and it's not as if i wear tight ones.

Socci if you have a john lewis near you they sell seven jeans - you could try for size and then buy in from the states.

bundle · 31/10/2006 13:43

i have some nice gap bootleg ones they are very flattering and quite reasonable, about £40

BudaBeast · 31/10/2006 13:48

M&S Bootlegs I bought just after I had DS so 5 years ago - unfortunately they are a size (or two) too small now but I still have them.

addictedtoshopping · 31/10/2006 20:21

Socci - i do like Seven - have a lovely pair of grey cords - House of Fraser, john lewis, net a porter all sell them. Am also an 8 and tend to buy waist 26 - if that helps

the moon - i store my clothes with difficulty!!! Wardrobes are bursting and have to rotate winter and summer clothes. In my defence i have been sathm (?) for 4 yrs and so wear jeans/cords every day so think i may aswell buy them like others would buy work clothes!????

I shall lower the tone here.Evie ones from Woolworths. They are the only ones to fit me comfortably & last for ages.

TheDaVinciCod · 31/10/2006 21:12

50 pairs is close to ocd imo

paddingtonbear1 · 01/11/2006 08:57

My favourite pair are probably 7 for all mankind - really good fit and look smart. I tend to wear Next and Oasis for everyday. Never tried Paige jeans, what do they fit like?

Flamesparrow · 01/11/2006 09:37

We thought Psychomum was bad with her 30 odd pairs.

I am also going to lower the tone by saying pretty much any Next jeans. My most comfy pair ever were a pair of New Look (shock horror - although I saw IDENTICAL ones in Dorothy Perkins - even the same writing on the buttons...) boyfriend ones... but I lost too much weight and they fall off now

all4ghoulz · 01/11/2006 10:48

my favourite jeans were a black pair of wrangler's that I wore in my younger days sz 14 long narrow leg, totally untrendy I know but loved them.

CurrantBun · 01/11/2006 14:49

Mine are French Connection 'bootflare' jeans for going out (the darker rinse) and Levi's 529s (I think) for everyday (low waist, bootcut/slightly flared, quite fitted).

I am praying that my tummy goes back to how it was post-baby so that I can still wear mine!

curlysmum · 01/11/2006 14:53

I've got a pair by Freesoul they stock in John Lewis sometimes and they just seem to look better and better with age, also some Fiorucci bought off ebay from America , oh and Gap from time to time when there's a Sale on though.
