If I straighten my hair with GHD's, what can I 'curl' them with?!

My hair is very thick and bushy. Normally I use curly girl method.

On the rare occasion I straighten it, it is very poker straight with GHD's. Is there anything I can 'curl' it with once I've straightened it to give it a natural wave?

You can use the ghds to create soft curls or waves after straightening www.ghdhair.com/hairstyles/how-to-hair

I curl my hair with my GHD straighteners Smile

I use my thin Ghds for curls/ waves
Also have two curling wands - one for waves one for tighter curls which I then brush out into waves.

I keep going back to the Ghds as I always end up hitting the off button on the wands as I twist and hold .
I think they should have the on off button on the cable somewhere rather than on handle of wand Smile

Thank you! I'm a GHD novice so will check out that tutorial.

I was aiming for a big wave at the bottom of my hair to curl it under so to speak. I was wondering if I have to do that with a hair dryer or if something like babyliss big hair could do it for me?

What about using a bbh instead of straightening it?

FuckingLiability · 29/03/2015 16:28

I use my GHDs for straightening and curling.

Aridane · 29/03/2015 16:53

Gosh - didn't know you could use GHDs for curling. But then I can't even work out how to access that tutorial link thing above

bluewisteria · 29/03/2015 21:02

My hair is quite frizzy so I would need GHDs at the roots, not sure the Babyliss wotsit would work on already curly hair? Does the hair have to be wet or damp?
I wanted a kind of big blow dry curve at the bottom, can't seem to achieve this with GHDs or maybe I need more practice?

From what I remember curling with ghd's is almost like curling ribbon with scissors.

wonkylegs · 29/03/2015 21:06

I use my wide GHDs to curl / wave my hair looks gorgeous

PetiteBateau · 29/03/2015 21:08

I've never straightened my hair with my ghd's, only use them to curl. Have got naturally poker straight ridiculously thick hair which I loathe
