So last summer I had my hair stripped from black and went blonde - I use blonde loosely as it was a gingery colour when first done.
Since then I've dyed it myself around 3 times.
First time I went a little brighter so it went a sandy/wheat colour.

Then I put an ash blonde on. This coloured okay except for my big streak of grey at the front of my head - it seemed to make it more grey.
A few days ago I put a schwarzkopf palette frosty silvery blonde (not sure if you can get this in the UK) to try and cover the grey streak and make the rest of my hair a similar colour as well as lightening the blonde shade - the bloody grey streak is STILL more prominent - noticeably so :(

What can I do with it? I'm tempted to dye it dark again but I know I'll regret it as I'll then need to do roots every 2-3 weeks again. This was what made me want blonde as it's closer to my natural colour and I was hopeful it would be easier to maintain :) It might be if I could find the right dye to use.

In case it's relevant-
-my hair is very short (pixie ish) I get it cut often so I doubt if any of the old previously black hair is still there.

-I'm a bit wary to get it done in the hairdressers - it's hard enough translating how I want my cut never mind colour.
-All dyes used are permanent.
