What did you dress your 9mo girl in last summer?

I'm up for buying a few new bits for my youngest to wear this summer. What are some good things to get? I love all the little shorts and 'play sets' that are around and obviously dresses but I wonder how practical everything is really. What did your DD just live in? T shirts and leggings? Shorts? And where is nice to buy things?

I found all in one play suit type things the best. It was a boiling summer so the cooler the better!

Lots of play suits things mostly from m&s and (the irritating shopping experience that is) vertbautet. Also a lovely airtex one from Ralph Lauren :-)
I found legging and vests looked a bit hot. But it was a warm summer when dd was nine months....

Playsuits/rompers here, too, or little
Dresses with big frilly nappy covers

MsBug · 19/03/2015 13:07

When it was really hot, just a vest and nappy

Otherwise leggings and tshirts. Trousers seemed too hot and dresses not v practical when they are crawling

I wouldn't buy too much yet. What she'll wear depends on the weather & what stage she's at - some 9mo will be crawling; a few walking & others pretty stationary. DD mainly sat at that age so had pretty dresses & frilly knickers which could have a vest under them & cardi over them, romper suits and then, for cooler days, tops & leggings.

PS I'd also say don't buy too soon as the shops will get more & more summer clothes know over the next few months & it is really annoying to get to, say, mid-May & see a gorgeous summer dress & not be able to justify buying it as you know you have five cute & as yet unworn dresses waiting at home.

Very good point re the shops. She's just started standing so I'm
Imagining she'll be taking a few wobbly steps by then but mostly still crawling.
