BB cream or very light foundation that works for pale and acne'd skin?

I know there are lots of threads about BB creams and light foundations but I have some fairly specific requirements. I'm pale and find most BB creams are a bit too orange and I also have acne/oily skin (thanks PCOS) so find many are too greasy.

For example the Garnier one for oily/combination skin is too orange and is also very dry and matt (I like a bit of a sparkle/sheen); the L'Oreal Youth Code one is a lovely texture but makes me break out; the Botanics one is too oily. Quite a few others are too orange even in the lightest colour.

I also need something with a reasonable amount of coverage (less than foundation but more than tinted moisturiser) to cover up the "old spot" marks.

At the moment I'm using the Vichy Idealia one, it's not bad and I'll get it again if necessary but it doesn't have much coverage - wondered if there is anything better out there?

Budget is flexible but I get through a lot so if it's expensive it needs to be amaaaazing Grin.

Thanks very much

I use this from Too Faced, plus a bit of Vichy dermablend (applied with a small concealer brush and blended well) on the dreaded ‘old spots’ and under the eyes. Both aren’t the cheapest out there but are the business.

There is a new BB cream coming out from Clinique for acne prone skin.

Thanks both! I will pop into Debenhams (there is one near me) and ask about both of those.

I should have said, I also use concealer (MAC select moisturecover in the lightest shade, NC15) on actual spots so I'm not expecting the BB cream to cover everything, just give a head start so I can use a bit less concealer.

The Clinique one is on the website, but doesn't come out for a couple of weeks I think.

Thanks - I googled and it looks like it's been out in the US for a bit but not here yet. Sounds good.

I also found an article recommending for acne prone skin:

  • Smashbox Camera Ready BB cream
  • Estee Lauder Daywear BB Antioxidant Beauty Benefit Cream
  • Clinique Age Defense BB cream
  • Vichy ProEVEN mineral BB cream

Anyone tried any of these?

thanks again
