Help me dress my 13yo DD for a very smart holiday

She doesn't yet know (will be told at the w/e) but my 13yo DD has been invited to join my MiL, SiL, her husband and son on a fabulous trip to Monte Carlo at Easter. Long story short, she's taking the place of my niece who now has to work. It's a trip to mark an 80th, 50th and 18th and the hotel is VERY smart I'm not at all jealous

I need help to find some suitable clothes. DD dresses well but her clothes are mainly in the denim, greys, doc Maarten, leggings, skinny jeans and Chelsea boots style. She'll need to be smart for at least evening meals and one or two new daytime outfits. I'm looking for things that are neither childish and twee nor too old for her. And I don't have a massive budget as she also needs spending money and it's obviously an unplanned expense!

Weather is (apparently) typically warm spring so not flip flops and dresses, sadly.

She's tall for her age, usually wears a ladies size 10 and is pretty slim but she's conscious of the lingering "puppy fat" around her tummy. When in dresses and skirts she prefers the skater style. I think she she's stunning!

This coming weekend is our shopping opportunity before she goes. Please help!

Primark is your friend ! My 15yr old looks smart in their dresses and thick tights with pumps or knee boots , light cardi and done. plenty of skate style dresses about.

Id recommend H&M. The women's clothes are youthful enough to look good on a teenager, and they dont just do casual stuff. Nice twill shorts, light material skirts, cheap vests for layering. They have some nice dresses, such as this one which could be worn with some sparkly flat sandals.

River island have nice fitting dresses for teens too. Bought a lovely dress for my 12 year old at Christmas from there, for a wedding but it is both classic and trendy so she'll wear again.

Thanks. I quite like this at H&M but she will hate the colour.

I think she'd prefer one like this but I think she needs some colour!

Any idea how to get her out of navy, black, white, grey and denim?

I wouldnt fight the colour preferences. Im 30 and still wear a small range of colours (navy, black, grey, purple and white).

Maybe some accessories such as skinny belts or flip flops in lighter shades of blue/silver?
