Size 8. Runners calves but decent neat hourglass shape and good boobs (well, its all relative)! Budget pretty healthy.
I traipsed round town today and came back empty handed and desperate. Actually tearful in the JL changing room. Pathetically. Can you help?!

I think it also depends what you would normally wear and how old you are. Are you firm enough for something unlined or do you really need something that covers minor wobbles?

tethersend · 07/03/2015 22:55

leopard

tethersend · 07/03/2015 22:57

one shoulder

Houseofmaidens · 07/03/2015 22:58

Haha! Low 40s! If i breath in and dont eat then I can do close skimming but a lining and more structured fabric definately better! I wouldn't do drapey jersey for example.

Also, how much do you actually need something in a petite range?

Houseofmaidens · 07/03/2015 23:03

One shoulder shape is good (will have to sort the spotty back though..bacne at my age! Grumble). Need black, cobalt, fuschia though ideally.
Tethers, do you actually know the entirety of the active fashion stock! You are quite amazing! Thank you
So hers a quedtion...How "bad" do legs have to be before they ruin a dress? And can I do black opaques in April?

Just looked at House of Fraser and it's all so horrible.

This is cute for someone petite, though - would emphasise good waste and cover back

I'm not a dress wearer - don't even own a skirt, but I'd only wear black opaque tights with a similarly dark dress, for this sort of thing.

Houseofmaidens · 07/03/2015 23:19

No I am not a dress wearer! But that one is lovely! Great color. Worried its just a bit young though? [gimmer]

I think you can wear it!

AmberNectarine · 08/03/2015 12:56

Ooh, you're nearly me except I'm 30 and 5'4. Let me have a look!

AmberNectarine · 08/03/2015 13:09

Karen millen is good for me - how about...

Leopard?

Fuschia?

Green?

Blue?

Magenta?

Black? I tried this one and it was FAB

AmberNectarine · 08/03/2015 13:09

By nearly me I meant I'm a size 8 sultry winter DG!

Houseofmaidens · 08/03/2015 21:33

Made me laugh....I have tried on two of those already..close but no cigar! We are definately in the same zone! What size are we in Reiss, Amber? I was an 8 in coast.

That Reiss dress I tried an 8 and it was a good fit. Also an 8 in coast.

I also get a lot of my dresses from Helmut Lang - this one is next on my list. They are simple admittedly, but the cuts tend to be fantastic for me and with the right accessories they can look really glam.
