I have 2 cousins to buy Christmas presents for.

Was thinking makeup.

Waht would be cool?

I think make up is a bit of a minefield to buy for others tbh, unless you know their specific brand or shade choice.

hard candy do really great 'young' colours and last for ages

KathyDCLXVI · 25/10/2006 17:44

Couldn't you get them some quality make-up brushes instead?

Gillian76 · 25/10/2006 17:55

Make up brushes a good idea, Kathy.

Will look at hard candy too

Mac is good and you can buy online

Coolmama · 25/10/2006 20:19

Ruby and Millie - available at most Boots stores

FillyjonkthePumpkinEater · 25/10/2006 20:21

hard candy is good, or urban decay. (are they the same?)

but think brushes are a good bet, if you are young you don't bother with decent quality brushes and they make such a difference.

gothicmama · 25/10/2006 20:23

make up brushes are good or mascara (something they wear often)

Coolmama · 25/10/2006 20:24

best brushes are from the Body Shop -

FillyjonkthePumpkinEater · 25/10/2006 20:29

really? suprised at that they are not hugely expensive

actually mine are superdrug and am quite impressed

janeite · 25/10/2006 21:25

Brands-wise I'd go for Mac or Benefit - very funky but not cheap. I think you'd be super-cousin if you bought them anything from there though; or (much as I hate to say this) they'd probably be really pleased with vouchers to choose their own stuff.

Was in boots yesterday - they have ruby and millie make up bags in the gift section, really nice leather, think you get a couple of brushes and lip gloss and nail varnish in, they are about £25 and are included on the 3 for 2 gifts. Definatley would get my vote.
