Possibly a very stupid question about semi perm hair dye and dipped hair.

i have dip dyed hair, my hair is medium/light brown but the bottom 4 inches of it are a goldy blonde.

i am trying to raise money for kidney research uk during march (march 12 is kidney disease awareness day) and they have a "go purple" theme, so i was thinking on dying my hair.

however, i love my dip dye, and i'm concerned that putting a purple dye on it will stain it.

Anyone got any experience with putting a semi-perm/temp dye on dipped hair?

nah, i've had purple hair before, been a few years mind, but i didnt have dipped hair last time i put a crazy colour on it!
