Getting rid of static in clothes?

Hi ladies, can you help me? I am wearing a dress to a wedding on Sat, it is a satin slip under a lace outer and I don't know why but the satin is so static it sticks to my legs and bum - not a good look, does anyone know how to stop it or where to by those anti static cloths and do they work? thanks!

Somewhere from the back of my mind, putting it in the freezer comes to mind.

I had a pair of trousers that used to go static and stick to me. My mum said, wash them as normal and then put them back in the machine on their own with fabric conditioner on a 'rinse' cycle. And dry as normal.

Works a treat for my trousers Worth a go.

Thanks ladies, I'll stick the dress in the freezer and hope for the best
