I've always had crap circulation. Years ago, was on medication for it but, it gave me headaches so stopped taking the meds. I'm 53 and have good skin as in, it's not excessively lined and I use tinted moisturiser, blush, lippy (lips are usually purplish, left to their own devices) mascara every day. My problem is that, as I'm ageing, I seem to get even more pale/washed out. It's awful, to the point where I want to put on a bit of blush after my shower, of an evening. (I'd never sleep in makeup but I look like death without it).

Can anyone suggest something to get a bit of life into my complexion? When I do a bit of gentle exfoliation, I get a lovely pink glow but obviously it fades after 5 minutes. Any ideas? I'd not have to be a slave to the blusher brush then.

Thanks in advance x

Eliza I feel your pain! I'm on steroids and immunosuppressants and they have done something odd to my skin tone. It's ok in the summer when I have a bit of a tan but Dec-March I'm a really unpleasant shade of grey! My eyes get really dry and skin is really sensitive as well, so I barely wear any makeup because it irritates everything so much.
Everywhere I go it's a constant barrage of well meaning concern because I look half dead!

Roll on Spring and a little bit of colour. I hope you find a non-sun based solution for your woes, although i am a tiny bit jealous that you can hide yours with makeup!

I was on Prednisolone for a good while. Now I'm on hefty anti hypertensives which could make men feel tired andy grey! I've always stayed active so really object to falling to bits now, at only 53!
