Just that really. Tiny broken veins under my nostrils and some on my actual whiskey nose.

I don't imagine there is anything to be done about it except makeup. Would be lovely to not have to wear cover up all the time though.

Laser treatment. I don't really know anything about it but I saw someone have it on embarrassing bodies and it worked well.

UrchinMadeOfAcne · 07/02/2015 10:56

Oh really! So there IS a cure!

Off to Google.

Look up Veinwave treatment . One session worked for me !

UrchinMadeOfAcne · 07/02/2015 10:59

Gone - that sounds wonderful. How much was it?

arlagirl · 07/02/2015 11:00

Yes I had a few broken capillaries around nostrils and had them lasered

gonegrey56 · 07/02/2015 11:03

I can't remember exactly but not ridiculous given result - about £75 ? Went to a medical clinic run by a plastic surgeon, treatment done by a qualified nurse ( I checked them out carefully) .

UrchinMadeOfAcne · 07/02/2015 11:05

That's sod all!

Laser will do it. I second going to a cosmetic derm as opposed to a beauty salon.

arlagirl · 07/02/2015 12:04

Yes it was inexpensive.
Compared to having legs lasered for hair removal

UrchinMadeOfAcne · 07/02/2015 13:56

This is brilliant news!

That sounds good, any personal recommendations in the North West please?

GinSoakedBitchyPony · 07/02/2015 17:29

Laser works. Different types of laser, do some research. I also recommend not going to a beauty salon.
I had a single vein on my cheek that looked like someone had scribbled on me with a red pen. The first session zapped that one and it's stayed gone for 5 years. I had a few diffuse red veins on my nose and needed 3 sessions at £80 a session to get rid of them. They were less noticeable after the first session and by the third they'd gone completely.

HerdyHerdwick · 07/02/2015 17:34

kittycats am going to PM you with details of two places that I can recommend, both in Cheshire.

BalloonSlayer · 07/02/2015 17:42

My sister had two or three odd spots on her face all her life. When she went to get them lasered the lady said "lets do these as well" and lasered off the broken veins she got from pushing in Childbirth. Sis very pleased and is as mean as arseholes so she would not have gone in the first place if it had been expensive.

smugmumofboys · 07/02/2015 18:53

Herdyherdwick I've pm'ed you. (Possibly lots of times! Blush)

Kennington · 09/02/2015 22:12

I got my veins lasered by a dermatologist last week. It wasn't IPL. Lots of bruising and scabbing but it is starting to clear now.
Cost 500 quid. But others do it cheaper. Bit pricey but I can see it has worked after one session. You will need a minimum of a week off work due to the black purple bruising and burns!

arlagirl · 10/02/2015 07:17

I had no bruising or scabs afterwards Kennington.....did you have a huge area done?
