I've tried Nizoral, Neutrogena t-gel, head and shoulders....nothing works for my itchy scalp. Have been to the doctors but didn't get any help. Any advice?

It's true I've heard absolutely nothing but good about Dr. Hauschka. It's one of the few brands I've never used but that I trust.

I did a stint in a pharmacy and customers used to come in gushing over it and buying it by the bucketload! I would buy their day cream if it didn't smell of roses.

Naked shampoo for sensitive scalp works a treat for me - got it in boots. Redken also do a scalp shampoo I found good. Good luck though, it's horrible having an itchy sensitive scalp.

I had the same problem. It was itchy all the time. Since i started using sulphate free i haven't had it at all. I am using John Frieda now, but i also tried the Hask Argan oil one which is also good.

The only other one i had a bit of success with, was the blue Elvive with the orange top, but here they have discontinued it though.... I absolutely hated the smell of my hair after using it, but it worked for the itch....

The l'oreal elvive one in the blue/orange bottle has been replaced by elvive men's anti-dandruff shampoo in a black and orange bottle. I've tried dozens of shampoos for itchy scalp and this has been the only one that works for me. I only need to use it once a week with regular shampoo in between.

Oh, we definitely don't get that one here Mode. Has it just come out in UK recently?

I got a sample of a Loreal product from a UK magazine that someone gave me. It thought is was from the Elvive range but i just cannot remember the name of it. It was gold and cream sachet and i am thinking it may have been the EverPure one. It was lovely and i have been searching here for it, but haven't ever seen it. Can you buy the EverPure in the shops or is it just a salon product?

may have to put that on a list for when dh travels again

How does the water softener work? Can you fit it on your shower head?

Another vote for Philip Kingsley - the shampoo and tonic work for me. They do small travel sizes online - not very economical, but worth it for a try?
