Last year I was drooling over the 'Rossy' boots in Jones Bootmaker, but I procrastinated for so long that they are now no longer in stock (apart from in tiny sizes in the sale). Am really with myself because they were spot on what I wanted. Can you find me a nice alternative please (online please) ? So far I have looked at....

Hobbs
Office
Faith
M&S
Schuh
Shellys
River Island
Jones Bootmaker
Clarks
Debenhams
Next
VivaLaDiva
Topshop
Dorothy Perkins

Here are the loved and lost boots .

I found these but I'm not sure about the round toe and they don't have them in stock in black atm anyway.

these are similar, though more expensive. Actaully, these are similar, I think. Duo do boots for all calf sizes, from skinny to fat (like mine), so even if you're 'normal' calf size, there'll be one to fit you.

NOMurDErousPLUME · 20/10/2006 11:16

Hello again jackie

they are similar but £155 is a bit ^^ over my budget. £100 MAX is my limit.

BTW - I tried to buy that red herring skirt you found me yesterday but it was out of stock in my size, so was the other grey check one.

The second ones are £100, how close are they? Glad you found a skirt.

Piffle · 20/10/2006 11:19

Tutter · 20/10/2006 11:19

Tutter · 20/10/2006 11:21

Piffle · 20/10/2006 11:24

NOMurDErousPLUME · 20/10/2006 11:24

The Ravenna ones look a bit more erm.... frumpy and clunky.

NOMurDErousPLUME · 20/10/2006 11:26

I like these, but they only come in brown or tan . Grrrrr

I did the same thing yesterday, I posted something in jest and then realised that it could be read as upsetting. Every post I typed trying to explain my numpty-ness just dug me in deeper.

OP posts:
Bagpuss30 · 20/10/2006 11:51

I haven't actually worn mine yet as I was saving them until the weather got a bit cooler really. When I tried them on they were really nice though. I didn't expect to like them when I first saw them but they are really nice (I think ). My first pair of proper high boots thanks to the various recommendations on here .

Bagpuss30 · 20/10/2006 11:52

lol no offence taken NDP
